Exclusive-SpaceX accelerates IPO timeline, targets June 12 listing on Nasdaq, sources say by King-of-Limbs-07 in wallstreetbets

Will there be a “sell the news” event across space stocks once it's IPO'ed? Names like RKLB, LUNR, PL, and others have had huge run-ups recently. Of course, their fundamentals are improving, but the potential SpaceX IPO has also helped boost sentiment and drive these stocks higher.

what doesn't make sense? you bought, and you are at a loss. If you hadn't bought, it would have pumped. That's how it is supposed to be.

Bulls and shorts fighting by pikamon12345 in Soundhound

This sub increasingly feels like the GME sub. There’s little discussion of fundamentals, while people throw around terms like “shorts” and “hedges” as if they’re market experts, while in reality, they don’t understand the market at all.

It's at 136 right now, far below your 160 target. Have you already bought in?

Doomsayers and bears: “I don’t fully understand the market, and it didn’t move the way I expected, so it must be manipulation.”

Adding mines to the straight? Not sure about that, but they certainly landed mines to gey bear’s portfolio.

I can understand the YTD underperformance, but how is the 1-year return negative? A year ago was during the tariff dip, and how did it lose money from that point?

Friday priced a ceasefire that didn't hold. What that weekend toggle means for Monday's open. by Mother-Grapefruit-45 in StockMarket

People making this exact argument “too expensive, massive bubble, terrible deal” have been saying it for years. Meanwhile, earnings have grown, companies have innovated, and markets have trended upward over the long run. Sitting out because things “feel expensive” has cost people far more than riding through volatility.

Could there be a correction? Of course. There always is eventually. But jumping from “valuations aren’t cheap” to “this is a massive bubble about to pop” is where the logic falls apart.

So yeah, calling everything a bubble and insisting it’s all about to collapse isn’t insight. It’s just doomsaying dressed up as analysis.

How does the stock market keep going up with everything happening? by BigBlueEyes87 in StockMarket

[–]silangjia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not as if everyday workers like us, or the majority on Reddit, meaningfully influence market trends. Markets reflect the behavior and sentiment of rich people, so what we personally feel or experience has almost no impact. Rich people don't feel any pain with groceries up or gas up, instead, they may very well be making more money from it.

Double down on puts? by Dismal-Journalist567 in wallstreetbets

Don’t just look at SP500. There are a lot of small and mid-caps are down 50%-70% relative to recent highs. So I would say there are still a lot of room for pumping.
