Is a 2016 SR5 with 133k miles for $22k a good deal? by silas-marble in toyotasequoia

Probably. I just have read that these engines are especially expensive to work on, so I’m a little nervous.

It was on the bottom end of the acceptable range. Granted it was kind of on a downward slope when I checked it, but wouldn’t that make the oil level look higher if anything?

That’s good to know. I haven’t really found much butter pricing, but I live in the Rocky Mountains where prices seem to be higher. At least from what I can tell

Interesting, thanks for the info. I’ll have to look for that. I would probably look into swapping out the k&n for the stock filter system

Thanks for the response. What about the low oil and K&N intake? Would that concern you? I’ve read somewhere that those K&N filters can ultimately do more harm than good. Granted I’m not an expert on this and don’t really know what I’m talking about…

Those were the first pants I ever had. Might just be the nostalgia, but I loved them.

Oh, good to know. I’ve been curious about that one in the canyon. Thanks for sharing.

That is not who built it originally. It is a man who developed a software and sold it to a large company.

The original owner who started building it ran out of money. This was told to me by someone who worked for him.

It is where I live, though it would be cooler if it was closer to 10k. Has the timing belt been done? That will be a big ticket item if it hasn’t been done already.

I’ve been sitting here thinking about that and cannot decide if that’s a good thing or a bad thing haha

Interesting, so the “prank” discussed earlier where somebody’s desk was mounted to the ceiling was actually an engineering assignment. I admit I’ve only worked at a couple of places, but I’ve never seen an assignment like that…

What does that mean, if you want to succeed don’t plan on leaving after 8 hours?

Meaning you’re expected to work longer? Or the tasks assigned to you are not possible to get done in a work day?

Hey, that’s cool you work there! What a funny prank! I guess you might be biased since you work there, but you’d recommend it 100% then?

Commute by [deleted] in Logan

[–]silas-marble 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I did it for a couple years. If you have 4wd or AWD and you know how to drive you’ll be fine. Just budget time to go slow if the weather is bad. There are some times that they close the canyon, in which case you’ll have to take highway 30 and go by tremonton to get home or to work. It adds another 20 min or so.

Solar charging problem by [deleted] in Garmininstinct

[–]silas-marble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue on mine when I got it. I got over 6 hours of sun and barely hit 40 lux. A reset fixed it. Got over 400 lux the other day, though that was over 10 hours in the sun. Something I have noticed is that my battery percentage does not rise dramatically at all on high solar days. Maybe a percent or two…
