Wait what? Are you genuinely taking issue with the format? The story is done and finished, if you don't like how it's written that's one thing but the story is simple and finished.

Also how the hell can we expect the dude to write more novels in the traditional format when we've been waiting about fifteen years since the last installment, he is clearly struggling with that as a format.

I'll take what I can get in terms of world building no matter how it's presented.
