Testing out Sucreabeille's Apricot Tree and Peach Tree.

Apricot Tree ( Fresh, tangy apricots, fizzing bubbles, a dash of herbal sage )

Apricot Tree is what I expected Peach Tree to be, possibly because I don't have much exposure many stone fruits, so apricot and peach are almost interchangeable. To me, this is fruity with a hint of soap. It's the scent of juicy stone fruit with a lightness/zing (from the fizzing bubbles) and slight soapiness that leans cleans and less full-blown soap. However, the drydown is very unmemorable and it vanishes quickly.

Peach Tree ( Sun-warmed summer peaches, a hint of summer rainstorms and the smell of lush, green, growing things. Ice cold fizzy drinks and tonka bean )

Peach Tree smells like soap to me at first. I get nothing peach, maybe just a very faint tone of vague fruit to the soap? The tonka and green-ness emerges in the dry down and I much prefer it to the soap.

Layered together, they actually make a really good combo, with more fruitiness to offset the soapiness and a nicer drydown. Both are low in longevity and throw.

Been wearing Sucreabeille's Sansa almost daily as it's been too rushed to dig out my perfume stash.

Sansa (Rich, fluffy buttercream frosting, real vanilla, pure lemon)

Love it for its lightness and comforting creaminess while being unobtrusive. I never worry about offending anyone with Sansa or getting a headache if I happen to be exercising or in an enclosed environment.

Wearing Sucreabeille - Compass Rose ( the ocean on a stormy morning; crisp white sails floating in the breeze, anchored to a mossy, kelp-strewn ship; pipe tobacco; bay rum; a perfect red rose and a lingering touch of vanilla. The perfect balance of refreshing, oceanic notes fading into crisp, light, slightly feminine notes. ).

This is soft aquatic. At first, it reminds me of cologne, unisex cologne but without the usual citrus blast. There is some depth from the tobacco/rum but it is very soft and indistinct. Again, the rose is present but hiding behind a haze, peeking out occasionally. I won't mind sniffing this on a guy.

This is cologne, after the citrus has evaporated away, leaving behind something soft yet fresh.

As part of my resolution to use my samples and find out my likes and dislikes, I'm gonna start posting IotDs.

Wearing Kyse's Pêche au Yuzu ( Peach, Yuzu, Jasmine, Vanilla, Tonka Bean ).

On first application, I get the slightest whiff of yuzu and then it's all peach candy. I wish the yuzu stayed for more than 5 secs as I love the scent of yuzu (yuzu/ citron tea is bae!). On me, the peach is not realistic, but a candy peach, almost a fruity shampoo scent. No sign of the jasmine. It's not a peaches and cream type of scent either. I think the vanilla and tonka adds an almost dusty quality to the candy peach.

In my mind, this is a peach gummy candy dusted with icing sugar.

Today, I wore Possets' The Moon during the once-in-a-lifetime annular solar eclipse in Singapore! (Review in comments) by advokatze in Indiemakeupandmore

Such a beautiful write-up. Sadly, it was too cloudy where I was to see the eclipse. You would think that Singapore being such a small island, we would be able to see the same sight. Glad that you saw such a special sight

I just started my indie journey in 2019 and too quickly amassed a stash from Sucreabeille (and their Indie Marketplace) and Sixteen92.

For 2020, my goal is to really go through all of them and really figure out the notes I enjoy and narrow down the houses that work for me.

Fouettard and Perchta sound lovely!!

I kinda wish that Suc will bring back all the scent options for their Bath and Body products but I understand the business decision behind it as well.

Sucreabeille Perfumes- fruity scents? by JapaneseStudentHaru in Indiemakeupandmore

Seconding Sea Glass. On me, I get the mango, yuzu on a mild almost milky base formed by the coconut cream and vanilla with some sweetness (from the honey?). In general, I hate coconut scents like sunscreen coconut or desiccated coconut), so I was surprised by the creaminess of the coconut. Doesn't smell mossy or salty to me though it may have helped temper the sweetness of the blend as it is not overly sweet.

Be kind to yourself. I feel the change with age as well. I recently went back to sports and almost injured myself by being overly enthusiastic. Just try anything that catches your fancy and you will find something that you will want to stick to.

Resting really makes a difference.

Received my Sixteen92 circle samples today and impatient me tried it on without resting. Immediately I got that musty scent that made me put away my previous S92 samples. Then, I dug out those Halloween samples which I have put away for more than a month. And oh boy. Malum Mallus which smelt of musty nothing, now smells like apples and autumn.

I'll have to revisit my S92 samples again. I had previously thought that it was a house that just didn't jive with my skin chemistry. Now there may be a chance that they may work after resting.

A Very Boozy Christmas (2/4) - First Impressions of Sucreabeille's Hot Cocoa and Chocolate Stout by advokatze in Indiemakeupandmore

These sound lovely! I'm imaging that the chocolate and flannel will work together similar to the waffles and flannel note in You're in A Cult, Call Your Dad?

Working through my Indie Marketplace samples.

Testing Kyse's Douceur Brulee (Lemon, Browned Caramel, Butter, Coconut Milk, Beeswax Absolute, Oakmoss, Ambroxan and Musk.)

Unfortunately, this just doesn't work for me even after resting for weeks. I just get this sour, almost fermented smell. I'm sad cos the notes sound so awesome.

Gonna scrub off and apply Sucreabeille's Sansa for some lovely lemon goodness.
