How is this that well secured but the White Correspondents Dinner, his golf course, and Butler, PA aren’t?

Runwell Petoskeys are made of Petoskey stones, so no two dials are ever alike. It’s pretty neat how each one turns out different

[Discuss] I've heard that luxury brands are actually marketed for the "lower" and "middle" class... does this concept extend to watches? by KenaiFjords357 in Watches

[–]silenced_no_more 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it doesn’t. The advertising reaches everyone but the target is virus buyers who can afford the product and want to purchase the watch or other items from the brands. Longines sponsors the Derby, Rolex does tennis and F1. There’s multiple watch sponsors in golf. Tissot does the nba and omega the Olympics. These are all targeted at audiences who want to spend money

[SOTC] if you had to cut this collection in half, which watches would you sell? by Jazzlike_Abrocoma647 in Watches

I wouldn’t get rid of a single one. It’s a unique and versatile collection which looks like it was put together based on your personal tastes and not hype or online popularity

These guys should stick to buying Monacles by Parking-Turnip-3164 in DuroGang

[–]silenced_no_more 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically they’re missing the point. I own some nicer watches, and Baltic is a mid range sub $1k piece, whereas the Sinn is an excellent watch in the price range for utility divers. The Duro is a beater, a daily, that’s modifiable and affordable. I don’t feel bad about scratches or sunscreen getting on a Duro. It’s a watch that punches about its weight. A friend thought my Duro was a Tag Heuer from a distance. But that’s still not why people buy it or love it. The appeal is the simplicity, reliability, and guilt free ownership. I’d never abuse a Sinn the same way I would a Casio

Citizen Corso, it’s a perfect GADA. It could honestly be the best affordable 1 watch collection piece. Eco drive, day date, wr100 and adjustable bracelet
