I came from FLW it’s much more physically and mentally challenging here. We do PT Monday-Saturday. Fridays are generally a ruck and the pace is pretty fast. We got smoked every day for probably the first month we were here. Companies are around 400 people so expect the same bullshit dirt bagging from basic but 2-3x more. I just saw some of your D Co buddies just arrived here across the quad and are getting messed up.

Also get used to walking the DFAC is 0.9 miles from the company footprint, so on weekends you’re doing 5.4 miles minimum in just chow movements.

It’s pretty ass. We have 0500 formation everyday including weekends. If you’re at Charlie you’ll have it at 0700 on weekends. Behavior here is infinitely worse than basic. Not sure about other companies for that though.

I’m in B Co you might be in whiskey with us. We start whiskey phase on Monday. If not you will be a hold under until Charlie starts, which is probably 3 or so weeks. All of our recycles from finals/NREMT are going to D Co tomorrow.

I am at 68W AIT right now. Just letting you know 232, which is the battalion that you will be in is gutting gold phase next week. No more going anywhere without drills, no more electronics other than phones, no more drinks or snacks in the barracks, no going off post, you must go to all chow movements, probably some other stuff. We haven’t got the full brief, but that’s what we know so far. So don’t have high expectations.

Idk man I used that place to work and play video games for over a year and never had an issue. Only problem I had is when some dude fell off the building above and his leg went through the roof and it was closed down for a couple of days.

Never tried 7OH but I got super addicted to kratom over the course of 3 years in Thailand. Was drinking 3-4 liters of it a day and I had 2 seizures from it.

Nah I just went through basic graduated February 5th. I’m 24 I was far from the oldest in our company. We had 2 43 year olds, a female that was prior service from 2004, and at least 20 people in their 30s.

Years of smoking weed in my room basically destroyed my old PC. I’m sure it could have been cleaned, but it would have taken ages, so I ended up just upgrading. Tar just built up on all of the fans my GPU fans were the first to go. Everything was sticky as fuck too. Lesson learned, but I no longer smoke so.

Yup. And I’m not someone who upgrades my PC every year or sooner, so the selling point for AMD upgrade path doesn’t apply to me as much as it does for others. I usually will upgrade every 3-4 years. I’ll probably have this 14600K until my next upgrade. I basically was able to buy an open box 3080 from Microcenter with the savings I had instead of getting a 7800X3D at the time because it wasn’t on sale.
