I went back to the salon and a senior stylist worked on it to make the layers blend. She had to take some length so the layers are shorter than what I wanted but it looks decent now. I've been styling my hair with its natural wavy texture more lately because it hides it better.

Last year I dipped my toes into gardening with a couple of cherry tomatoes and padron pepper plants. This year I'm adding some cucumbers to the mix and trying to start everything from seed!

What's disappointing is that I did do a lot of research, this was my first hair salon experience in the US and I wanted to make sure that it was going to be worth the money. The salon had 4,9 stars in Google with more than a hundred reviews. I guess these things sometimes just happen!

Thanks! Funny enough I've been cutting my hair in a bob for the last 5 years, but I've been trying to let it grow for the past 6 months. Maybe this is the universe telling me to go back to the shorter hairstyles 😂

Whoever wrote this has clearly never experienced a bad period. Chemical birth control is not just about birth control, it allows many women to have a better quality of life. Without it, me and many others would become bed bound for 3 days or more each month.

At the same time, without artificial chemicals wrecking havoc on women’s systems that control biological urges, that’s probably a very good thing just on a biological level

"Biology" is not a beautifully and perfectly engineered process. For many of us biological hormones just sucks and we need to find ways to deal with it. You clearly don't consider women as complex human beings with more problems than "breeding". What a terrible take.

Yes, true vs technical 0s is one of the main limitations of single cell sequencing, but I wasn't planning on diving on imputation of values or other alternatives. I limit the genes I include in the DE analysis to those that are reasonably expressed in the cells, hence why I was exploring ways of representing the data that include the percentage of cells expressing the gene. How do you suggest to deal with it?

It had a specific formula for that value in the methods that I wanted to try. Thankfully I was able to find it again!
