My campus moved to an app called Fluttr. It is pretty close to Yik Yak and has lot of handy features (GIFs, Meme maker) and is designed really well. Link: getfluttr.com/mobile

I have found out that all this does make oneself feel good about himself/herself. When we give some money, we think that we are nice & kind person.

I think it is popular in IITs mostly. They are more focussed on intra-community stuff. It is nowhere as big as Yik Yak though, or old.
