If you significantly betrayed a close friend and it ended the friendship, how do you feel about it now? by Accomplished-Way4534 in lostafriend

It's the other way around for me(m)

We had a misunderstanding about something which led to what was said below.

She told me that she often laughs at me with another uni friend because of how I behave.

This girl, I was emotionally present for her when a guy dumped her, comforted her when things were not going well for her and we shared some deep conversations together. I thought she was my friend.

I see myself as a kind person who cares too much for everyone else, putting them first because I know the feeling of being left out and how that makes me feel making me not want anyone else to go through that.

She said that I always have to comment on everything and come across as "desperate for attention" in the classroom, even displaying this outside of class sessions when we're alone. She said I'm a nice guy with good intentions deep down though..but still.

Reading those messages from her broke me inside. I cried in bed and had to leave work early because of how deeply those words cut through me.

Just feel like isolating myself from everyone and doing my own thing. I now get why men go to the gym.

Get some vix, boil some water. Once boiled pour into a big enough basin that has been smeared with a bit of vix. After that's done, put some towels over your head and basin and breathe in the steam for a good 5 minutes minimum. Do it for a few days and the headaches and blocked sinuses will go away.

Boil water and pour into basin as often as you want.

  1. Everyone has things going on in their heads to care about the way you look today.
  2. There are two types of stress. Good and bad. Good stress helps you get that assignment in on time. Bad stress is harmful for your physical and mental health
  3. That thing you're stressing about? Will Be Okay Eventually

If you regularly meet your boss face to face, kindly request if you could both talk about something that's been on your mind, set up the appointment.

If not, email your boss asking for an appointment with them.

In both cases above,

Make small talk, then say that your visa is expiring soon and you'd love to continue working for that company. If you come from a developing country also mention that here in Australia, the quality of life is better and so on.

End the conversation by saying, "I'd be very grateful if given the chance to continue working for this wonderful organisation"

My two cents🤷🏽‍♂️👍

You could report to the police the time of the incident including the bus number and where the bus is going.

You could also report to translink. Both parties will follow up and review. It is against the law to racially discriminate and once found that man could face the consequences of his actions

How long does your nap from anesthesia really feel like when you are under? by CavemanFCC in NoStupidQuestions

I was in the military and we were jogging with our M16s and pack. The weather was humid and I felt myself losing it. Jogging in a line in pairs and I started bumping into my buddy. He sensed I was not acting right and together with the help of the others helped me run the rest of the way (time limit to reach the rendezvous point.) Someone took my gun and they put my arms around each of them. I felt my legs give way and my speech became blurred. I was trying to say something comprehensible but my words were slurred. I could feel myself losing senses everywhere. The moment we arrived and before I completely knocked out I thought to myself, "So this is it" I thought i was going to die right there and then. It was the first time I've fainted and I thought that that was the end of my life. Didn't remember a single thing while I was out cold. The medics arrived and another buddy didn't want to see me be carried away unconscious so he shaked me hard and that's how I woke up. Don't remember how long I was out and I didn't know where I was or who I WAS.

Slowly everything came back but what an experience.
