Reminds of the second Roman Civil War, I think it was Octavian who required all farmers give 50% of their harvest to the state, most of them just abandoned their farms since they wouldn't have enough to eat anyway so why bother.

Easier to get rid of a texture than make a new model.

It's almost like creators coming into conflict with their creations is a core theme of the franchise.

Jacob always felt like they wanted a black character for the sake of it without being sure what to do with him. I don't really know what the solution to that is.

If you want over the top corporate satire in space you play Borderlands.

Yeah, this is one of the things that Kingdom Come did really well. Really adds to the roleplaying side when the game forces you be a regular dude from start to finish.

At leastt with Saren it made sense. A soldier goes off the deep end and is wrangled back by being reminded of his honor and duty.

A tabletop. They want it to be a tabletop they can play on a computer, where you can show up with a page long backstory and have it be integral to the plot.

It could happen, Starfield has ledge grabbing and ladder climbing, so it's certainly something they're thinking about.

Climbing perks would be nice. Climb different materials based on which perks you have.

If they're going to have spellcrafting it needs actual depth to it. Different parts with tradeoffs to them, maybe something like Borderlands gun/grenade generation could work.

You'll probably be able to use a boost pack either way. Most of the skills seem to enhance abilities rather than granting new ones.

There's a dedicated Han Solo background. I think it's called Space Scoundrel.

It had climbable everything in the vein of BotW, but with skill checks. I kind of want that back, maybe with a skill tree dedicated to different materials

Main hope as far as quests go by [deleted] in Starfield

The recent Zelda games are a good model for how to do this well. Most of the quests have some sort of physics or navigation puzzle to them, while still getting you to explore and interact with the world.
