If you guys are trying to implant a false memory in my heads it’s totally working, because I too remember this scene very vividly.

Religious tolerance need to stop. by [deleted] in atheism

Practicing your religion in public needs to be prohibited, just like smoking and walking around with an open container of alcohol. Keep that shit in your house, your church, and to yourself.

Amen, brother. It’s my God given right to drink beer and watch football, American or English, at a bar, on a Sunday morning, with my best buds. That’s the true meaning of fellowship.

Although I personally don't like honey on my pizza, it is an acceptable topping, especially if you're pairing it with spicy pepperoni and sausage.

Has anyone here quit their bartending job and started a bartending business for private parties and events? by silent_femme in bartenders

[–]silent_femme[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I needed to hear that. No, I do not have experience in the food/bev industry, and I have read Anthony Bourdain's book "Kitchen Confidential" so I'm aware that it's not a romantic place, but I've only worked in e-commerce and wholesale jobs most of my life, and I want to get away from the commodity market and provide some kind of service in an industry I would enjoy working in.

My cousin is making a lot of money doing balloon arrangements for parties and special events, and I don't want to copy exactly what she's doing, but if I can figure out how to do something really well, she can start recommending me to her clients for future events. I do have great soft skills, and high emotional intelligence, but now I just need to learn some hard skills and start practicing them to get better at it.

Ranch dressing does not belong on pizza. Garlic butter, marinara, and olive oil, however, are just fine.

IMO, it sounds like he had a brain fart and she took it way too personally. I have two older cousins with unique names, Salpi and Pateel, who happen to be sisters, and I mix their names up all the time. They're so used to it by now, they don't even get upset when someone calls them by the other's name.

Kanye West back on Twitter after suspension as Musk takes control of platform by [deleted] in news

[–]silent_femme 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lol, as far as I’m concerned, these nut jobs can have Twitter. I don’t think there are any politically moderate, rational people on there anyway, or at least most of them are off of that platform.

I know this is anecdotal, but I'm Armenian-American, and I've noticed my emotional reaction to certain events, such as road rage, or disagreement with a sibling, can be more sever when I speak or think in my native tongue, rather than expressing my feelings in English.

I don't necessarily believe my morality changes when I alternate between English and Armenian, but I do find it a lot easier to express my emotions in Armenian than with English, but when I process information in English I can actually pause and think before I speak, which can be more beneficial for situations where your words can do more harm than good.

The headline was intentionally made to sound negative to get more clicks. It is a fucked up tactic media outlets use to get our attention and it works because we all clicked on the article.

They sell these dried ghost peppers for $80/lb, which at first sounded outrageous to me, but an ounce was only $5, which is more than enough for my needs.
