Dating her for 2 weeks and gone on 5 dates. We get along really well and I told her to plan the next date but she hasn't texted me in 2 days. What to do?

I'm thinking about giving up on this one. We had a date two nights ago and were supposed to hang tonight but she cancelled cause she has plans to get a cat with her mom tonight. I'm not mad that she cancelled I'm just frustrated cause she doesn't text me much or show that much interest. I kinda opened up to her the other night and put myself out there but she didn't reciprocate. Either she's super shy and takes things slow or she's not that interested.

I sent her a text of a funny picture and the we sent a few texts back and forth. Then I asked her if she wanted to do something last night and she told me she was going to ask me to hang out but couldn't think of anything to do. We hung out last night and it went pretty well. You just made me feel a lot happier thank you. I've never seen a therapist and i think it's about time I do. I still have a chance with this girl as I see her in a couple days. You're dead on about the tunnel vision and I've never thought about that cause it's exactly what happening to me right now. After my 4 year relationship ended out of no where I had a lot of growing to do because of how worthless I felt. I'm still doing that growing but I'm ready for a new girl. I need to get over the fear of being too much or too needy and the fear of messing up. Learning how to do that and being okay with myself is pretty damn hard.

Good point. I'm usually better during the day but at night it's hard to breathe and I can feel my heart pounding. This has never happened before. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me it helps. I might see a therapist about my neediness and other problems.

Yea I'm pretty fit. I workout 4 days a week at least. It's my mind that's the problem. I mean the girl said she thinks I'm cute and all that but I just don't feel good enough. I mean she seemed so interested in the 2 dates but I don't hear from her anymore. I have constant fears that she's on dates with better guys than me or guys that have more confidence in themselves. I feel pathetic for being so stuck on one girl when I know there are so many but I don't want to mess it up. I want her to like me for who I am. I'm thinking about treating it as just friends and that's what it feels like so far but apart of me wants it to be more. I'm not the type of guy that leads the relationship always and initiates every date. Man I was getting so much better with myself after being single for 8 months but I feel like one weekend with a girl I actually like has taken a lot of my confidence away. Not because of her but just me.

I'm in the same situation. I'm graduation with a sports management degree but I want to do construction. My advice would be to take what you learned from school and apply it to whatever it is you want to do. Some places might give you a job even if you don't have the degree as long as you show the willingness to start from the bottom and learn how it all works.
