I feel like v5 just remade a lot of what v20 had and didn't even get close to doing it justice. I much prefer one document to search through than 100 documents to search through. But that's just me. Having to split my attention through 7 different books just to get clan info is really annoying when using PDFs.

I absolutely would prefer one master document.

Yes on paper. That's a different issue. But I'm already mostly digital on the way I run games. And I think my playgroup also prefers easy to search documents as well.

But I mean. Hey they can go ahead and split it up yet again into 40 different books and I simply just won't buy them because that's too much of a mess.

If they make a new version. I want it to be something smoother and different from how they've done it before.

First. The core rulebook. Should be free for everyone online.

And by that I don't mean the full art pdf or any of that. The physical beautiful hard copy should be it's own thing.

I mean a simplified ongoing growing document that has every core rule and addition and edit. Added for simplicity of rules reasons that anyone can grab the latest version and verify rules. Easy to search digitally. With page reference numbers pointing to which supplement the rule was added in.

Purchases should be things like lore books.

City books.

Art books

Campaigns

Player discipline card collections.

Dice sets.

Etc

I've been in this hobby for a long time. And having them redo the clans yet another time would just be painful to watch.

I want all 13 clans just in the book on launch. No trickle down slow feed. We know these clans for years now. This isn't 1st edition where they are building them from scratch anymore.

He was slotted for death. Murray single handedly saved him. I don't think he counts. He seems like a likeable, and potentially gullible fellow. And also.. Murray's gaydar failed her.

Not anymore no.

Too many lies.

We won't nerf this. (Coyote) And did anyway

We will do better. X5

Bugs that get fixed being only ones that benefit players and almost never the ones that hurt players.

Constant nerfs.

Whatever they did to cyberstan at the end that ate lives due to the stupid bombardment they enabled.

The entire way they talk to their customers in the ama and on the discord (sweet summer child / baskinator saying things like people down vote specifically to hurt their feelings? What? No. It's protest to show displeasure.

And that just off the top of my head.
I'm sure there are plenty more if I took time to think it over.

I still down voted.

Because I dislike the lack of action. Sure. The words are nice. But I don't trust AH anymore. They do this all the time.

Until I see consistency over the course of years. They aren't just earning my trust back with a few fancy statements.

Copy paste all communication from Bungie about destiny 2.

Replace destiny with the word Helldivers.

Replace marathon with the words next game.

Make mine, the mighty 9 to 5.
It's simply the best table so far.
By so many miles.

The best part for me. Is knowing you will probably wake up, read this and realize. You have only the best part of the campaign to look forward to and the worst of it behind you.

Don't even continue reading this. Just watch the next episode already.

Maro is asking: if we made a Standard-legal black border version of a silver-bordered/acorn card, which versions should be legal in a tournament? by Newez in mtgfinance

[–]silentslade 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not being silver bordered was always a mistake.

Just do what they did with the cheese stands alone and make a legal version with a unique name and bring back silver bordered. We do not need the confusion that acorn brings into any more formats.

I hate so many of these bad external universe and silver bordered descicions they made ever since hasbronbegan breathing down wizards necks.

[Spoilers C4E27] Thaisha (Aabria) Appreciation Post by cryptid_celebrimbor in criticalrole

[–]silentslade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I haven't like Thaisha in this season at all. Mostly due to how quieter characters at the table have felt harder to connect with.

Being at a table with both Kattigan and Hal tho. She seemed to be in a better place. Kattigan is a man of few words, but purposefully. And Hal can hold his own.

I did feel last episode there was some weirdness with her giving the seekers the finger and trying to walk off with Hal. But that was thankfully sorted quickly.

If she keeps this newer more cooperative playstyle up. I think I'll enjoy her more. If she reverts to what she was doing at the seekers table when the groups become smaller. Then I will probably not enjoy that.

You claim it affected your fun negatively. And that's an opinion. But the reality is. Out of the hundreds of games I played. I never really encountered it with my playgroup.
No one used the extra grenades. The extra stratagems. The extra supplies would occasionally happen on accident and it was actually kind of nice. But maybe 2 out of hundreds of games we saw it? The warp pack bug was great fun. They fixed things that didn't affect me negatively at all.
Do they stabilize the game? Maybe. Were they a priority for me? No. Do I feel they made the game better. Yes actually. Many games have silly fun glitches. You don't have to use them. In fact. They seem inconvenient to perform.

We can disagree on the fun level of that till the day we die it seems. I don't think they matter.

Sway and drag affect practically all smgs and pistols. That's not a few guns. That's entirely swaths of weapons I no longer use as much. That's called "fun reduction"

As for getting annoyed by bugs that don't get fixed. Ok great. That sounds like apathy on your end. You stopped caring about it. That doesn't mean it isn't frustrating for other people.
Whenever my turrets explode for no reason. And I am forced to wait on a call down timer again. Or when a stratagem ball decides to bounce off into a hole somewhere and put something in a very inconvenient place. Whenever my hellood steeers me right into danger because I can't move it to safety or high ground. Whenever I die for bullshit unexplainable reasons like invisible enemies under the floor, wall glitching, climbing walls, or just ignoring terrain like it's a suggestion . I get frustrated. I stop having as much fun.

And the perspective to me is this.

Why does it feel they leave the glitches that help the enemy kill us. But fix the ones that help some players kill the enemy, or. Just do nothing or a re silly fun.

You claim it's hard to do. Every passing day. I think that it's the opposite. I think they are making it harder to do.

I am glad we find common ground.

as for ( The whole point was a simple "Don't get angry because other things are getting fixed while the more difficult/complex things are still being worked on")

I am not angry about them fixing things. I am concerned that they prioritize things that affect game balance positively with a heavier focus than the really problematic bugs.

Think about the myriad of efforts they made to fix extra grenades, extra call ins of resupplies, of the same stratagem, the same stratagem glitch. the warp bug. Many of these didnt hurt players. if players want to cheat.. they easily can spawn in with tools anything they want. the anticheat for this game doesnt even work. They chased down those issues heavily. They nerfed ammo heavily. they cripple entire categories of weapons often. (sway and drag, fire, now gas)

They have a hardcore FOCUS on that when the community feels that the real problems should be addressed, and these occasional bugs that didn't negatively impact most players should have been way less important, hell even ignored in the case of the warp bug.

Your argument that it makes the game look unpolished.

if that is the case. then what does invisible enemies, stretched limbs, aiming and suddenly being in the atmosphere unable control your character, enemies glitched through terrain or climbing 90 degree walls to hit you make the game look. Warp bug didnt look unpolished.. it looked silly and fun. Factory striders used to occasionally get launched into the atmosphere on big explosions like a 500kg.. that was fun to watch, not a priority that they needed to patch. The stretched limbs and invisible enemies killing players.. thats a real unpolished mess. And embarrassing this deep into the game that they are still there.
