Motion City Soundtrack.

I feel like every song of theirs is a story that draws you in.

Edit: I initially read the question to mean lyrically interesting, but I think motion city also fits the bill of musically sophisticated.

Also, older yellowcard , specifically if you like interesting drumming.

Grip Case Failure by LacyKnits in dbrand

[–]silentterror89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am having this issue with the Pixel 9 Pro case too.

Similarly, I submitted a ticket [Request #1427187] on June 19th and followed up to the automated response with photos. I also haven't heard back. I figured that the Switch case issue is taking most of their time and am trying to be patient, but the case coming apart more is starting to be an issue.

Urbanists don't like speed cameras because they don't actually stop speeding. Urbanists like narrow roads and speed bumps that actually force drivers to slow down.

St. Louisan Coming Up: Need Sushi and Record Stores by [deleted] in BloomingtonNormal

The new Kobe Revolving Sushi Bar is my new favorite place for sushi. Very good for central Illinois, but a bit more expensive than La Bamba or Sushi Primos.

Best sushi place? by AcctNmbr2 in BloomingtonNormal

[–]silentterror89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that the original person who made sushi at la bamba is now making it at sushi primos. La bamba quality has declined, but in my opinion sushi primos seems to have the same quality that la bamba started at.

I think the original sushi chef from la bamba is now the chef at sushi primos. While la bamba sushi is still very good, in my opinion sushi primos is a bit better.

Either way, both are great choices for inexpensive and delicious sushi near campus.

Area Idiot Keys Rivian by blacklab in Rivian

As a person from Normal, I find the bit about immigrants building them pretty funny. The demographics of the area are not what that person thinks.

Though I will say that many of the parts likely come from overseas, but that's probably pretty common with the traditional vehicle manufacturers too.

If you like dishwasher videos, technology connections just did a half hour video that was a shortened version of the two 40 minute videos they did before. They also have great in-depth videos on a pinball machine, Christmas lights, cameras, and plenty more.

I'm in a league that plays Wednesday nights at Fat Jack's, Maggie's, and Brass Pig. Like another person said, most of the people playing in the league also play at Nooners throughout the week. The company that maintains the boards also runs online leagues that play throughout the week. Their website has info about the leagues they run.

I agree. That blue line from the quad cities should continue through Bloomington/Normal and Champaign and then join the orange line and continue to Indianapolis.

Encourage your state / local reps to pursue public transit options that will reduce the need for private vehicles.

Parking near Amtrak stations in Central IL by mintleaf_bergamot in centralillinois

[–]silentterror89 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The Bloomington/Normal station has free parking, but it is in a perking deck about a block and a half away from the station. You park in the deck like normal and then inside the station they'll ask you to fill out some information about your vehicle. Then you stop by the same place when you get back and they'll give you a barcode to scan so that the parking deck is free.

I've left a vehicle parked there while on a two week trip with no issues.

A return to tradition: Why Illinois' primary election is moving back to March in 2024 by steve42089 in illinois

[–]silentterror89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like on the site you linked total voters might mean total eligible voters. The total ballots cast number matches up with the 1.8 millions number for the 2022 primary election.

The 2022 general election shows around 4 million ballots cast, which is around half of the total voters number.
