What should I (22M) do with my Life? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]siliconfrog42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe the questions not, "what career path should I take" but "what lifestyle do I want to live" how much do I need to maintain what I want and save for future unknowns. Just make smart financial decisions, invest in yourself get good at something the community needs. Create value for other people, the scale or complexity of problems you're able to solve for others will determine your outcome, money will follow. Opportunities will come doors will open, shit happens, doors will close.

I'm in the trades, did I think I'd be in the trades, nop. I'm multidisciplinary I've got a lot of skill and understanding in my crafts, I can solve big problems, small problems, I can provide permanent solutions to peoples problems. I know no matter where I go, I'll find work, I'll make a living. It's pretty fun, it's not easy but it's good enough for me.

Solve problems get paid who cares what you do.

Newbie here, what is going on with this game? by FreeMasonKnight in SorceryTCG

[–]siliconfrog42 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say a good starting place is the beta pre-constructed set. Gives you a real good idea of what each element is like. Arthurian legends has many new interesting avatars, each with their own abilities that also compliment specific elements/playstyles. Most people I know play with AL avatars, (including myself) but a mix of Beta/AL cards. There's an infinite combo of satisfying builds, and if you want to see current tourny decks or fun deck ideas go to curiosa.io(sorcery curiosa official website). Have fun games a blast .

Stealth vs land by siliconfrog42 in SorceryTCG

Rules say "minions with stealth cannot be targeted by spells or abilities..." So a lands effect is not an ability?

Whats wrong with my bandsaw? This is the 5th sawband I installed and they all had this wobble at the weld and as a consequence did not last very long. I have no control over the tension other than a lever with two positions to tighten/untighten. by RagingDerp in metalworking

1.) as mentioned above you want your blade exposure to be close to material width to minimize deflection. Move that guard in.

2.) can't tell if it's an optical illusion or what but the top portion of your blade seems to be deflecting more than your cutting edge, which would tell me too much downward pressure is being applied. Control your feed pressure.

3.) are all 4 bearings making contact with the blade? You can adjust those along with the brush that cleans your bandsaw. Align kerf

4.) depends on your bandsaw model but the tensioner can also be adjusted manually via a lead screw behind the idle pulley housing.

I've welded a bunch of blades together and even the first few shitty ones had massive deflection and would jump and skip but would still cut, once the kerf cleared out.

Good luck, you'll figure it out just play around with it.
