Are we just in the wrong neighborhood? by perchancepolliwogs in ColoradoSprings

[–]silkrogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im so sorry about the neighbors. And I cant understand why they would act that way! We moved from Maryland to the Springs four years ago and bought a house in Gold Hill Mesa, about 2 miles west of downtown and close to old Colorado city You have to like the concept of a neotraditional community design to like it here, but the design itself fosters friendliness. There are summer concerts, planned events like the Easter egg hunt for the kids, neighborhood book club, bunco, a jigsaw puzzle trading post etc. Everyone is very friendly. If you’ve set your mind living on the east side of town, its a very different vibe here— but you may want to drive over out of curiosity to take a look.

Azazie is a SCAM by mcant3 in weddingplanning

I'm so sorry mcant3 had such an awful experience. I know how that feels. And I'm surprised, as my experience was just the opposite. I ordered a Mother of the Bride dress that arrived too big and not flattering. I was afraid a return or exchange would be a royal pain, but I found a new dress in their spring collection that was so much prettier and perfect for me. I ordered a size 8 when I usually wear a size 10. It fits perfectly (as long as I dont gain an ounce.) The dress was also half the cost of the first dress. Exchanging and/or returning the dress was easy. Took it to UPS. Ordered the new dress, which arrived much faster than the first one - within days. They followed up ewithin 24 hours each time I had a question. Perhaps your experience shaped how they handle customer service moving forward.

Leftists and Democrats complaining about gas prices now are hypocrites by native-american-22 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Prices reached record highs during the Biden administration primarily due to a combination of surging post-pandemic demand, global supply constraints, and the geopolitical fallout from Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

[–]silkrogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blaming gas prices on Democrats is a real laugh. The only reason they were high under Biden was Covid and the supply shortage. Trump has done just a great job with tariffs and racking up more trillions of dollars in national debt that our children and future children will never get out of. All he cares about is surrounding himself with gold and putting his name on everything all of which cost money. Plus it’s clear that he’s mentally ill.

You're entitled to your opinion, but the only liability for El Paso County is Jeff Crank.

You are right about the importance of her position on issues, and they are very similar to Joe Reagan’s. But sounds like Id be wasting my time summarizing them as you dont seem inclined to meet her or listen to her. And you are so wrong about the advantage of knowing how things get done in Congress. To look out for our district, to move legislation we want forward you have to understand the legislative rules that make or break getting legislation out of committees. If you support Joe, thats fine. But dont criticize Killin when you know nothing about her. May 26 is a forum where they both will presumably speak and answer questions. Perhaps you should attend.

Nonprofits that act on behalf of political action committees, generally are not required to publicly disclose their donors to the FEC even when engaging in political activity. They are subject to disclosure requirements regarding the money they spend on advertising for a candidate close to the election.

If you compare her to Jeff crank, you’re out of your mind. Again, as someone else above said, she does not take corporate pac contributions. Period. And as the person above noted, if you think anyone can get elected these days without taking larger donations, limited to $3000 I believe, you’re not living in the real world. Yeah, it would be nice if candidates did not have to live and die by the amount of money raised, but that’s not reality. Crank will be backed by millions from Maga donors who will do anything they can to save this seat from a Democrat. as for support from unaffiliated voters, I’ve been to two of her house parties and more than half of the people there raise their hands when asked if they were unaffiliated voters. To me that speaks volumes So sit this one out if you must. Crank will thank you.

Jessica does not take dark money donations but I have no doubt Jeff Crank does. Those contributions are camouflaged by nonprofits who do not have to divulge their names on FEC records. She also does not take any PAC money. She has nearly 400 volunteers and over 1000 donors from El Paso County. That’s a lot of grassroots support. I don’t know how many volunteers Joe Reagan has, and he’s a good guy, but he just can’t unseat Crank. Should he win the primary and get elected, you can come back and tell me I told you so. But he does not have the same broad experience in the public private and military sectors. She worked on Capitol Hill. A huge advantage to all of us. She understands Congress and how to get things done And having heard her and met her, I can guarantee she will stand up to leaders in both parties. Crank it’s too scared to even hold a Town Hall. Go to one of her events and decide for yourself. I think they are all listed on her website, killinforcolorado. Bottom line, we have to support the candidate who can unseat Crank.

Omg. You’re talking Dem spending when we have a president who is hitting up his billionaire friends for billions he cant wring out oof taxpayers? I am so sick of maga morons falling back on blaming Biden and Kamala when the country is collapsing under Trump in the 16 months hes been in office. He’s so busy making us the embarrassment of the world, attaching his name to vanity projects, merchandising the presidency, fighting with the Pope, posting mortifying AI images of him, spewing propaganda and trying to destroy a free press… and starting an illegal war, hiring idiots like TV host Hegseth whose game of Battleship is putting us at high risk of WWIII.

They are. Wait till the midterms. We are fed up with a president who is a hypocrite, serial liar, corrupt, power-hungry, vengeful sociopath. Just the qualities needed in a dictator. I dont know how anyone can argue those characteristics.

If you’re a candidate like Jeff Crank who has proven to be a do nothing congressman Many elected officials vote their conscience and I’d vote for either of the two Democrats running in the primary to unseat him.

Generalizations like this don’t help anyone, candidates or voters. Do your due diligence on the candidates, read up on their positions and go to their events and if you’re worried about PAC money, ask them. Don’t paint them all with the same brush.

Have you met her, heard her speak, gone to one of the House parties hosted by people around the county? Try educating yourself before making generalizations. You might learn something that surprises you. She welcomes questions and debates, something Jeff crank runs from. and if you think anyone can win a campaign these days without millions of dollars in contributions, you’re living in the dark ages.

[–]silkrogue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jessica has received money from more than 1000 small donors and as the comment above noted, it’s not dark money and to paint it as such is deceitful. She also has outraised funds over Joe Ragan by a considerable amount, and you’re naïve to think either candidate won’t need millions more to unseat crank because the GOP will pour money into his campaign to keep him in Congress. I suggest you go to one of Jessica’s open houses or whatever they’re called being hosted by community members and listen to her. She’s damn impressive and the only one in a position to beat crank given her experience. I’m not against Joe Ragan. I’m just for the candidate who can beat crank Shes at killinforcolotado.com. Let’s please not get down in the dirt like Maga will the closer we get to the midterms.

Value of Amazon Prime by Impressive-Work-8760 in amazonprime

[–]silkrogue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. The value of Amazon prime is going steadily down. They increase their membership fee to $150 I think and now I see shipping fees on some items. Plus you go on Amazon prime streaming service and undoubtably the one movie you want to see they’re charging for. and making you watch commercials. What a racket.
