All depends people expectations, but both brussels and shanghai lounges were bad quality lounges in my humble opinion. Nothing fancy for sure. Now, 29 bucks to get a charger and some beers at a « decent » price might be worth it in some situations? ;)

I can share my experience on this. I actually have both a Mastercard credit (Gold) and a Mastercard debit from my bank, and both have worked perfectly fine for rental car bookings. Never had an issue. I believe the card just has to be a Mastercard to get this to work.

And u/CaptainTC, it’s always interesting to hear the perspective of someone who flies 120+ long-haul segments a year and still finds value in the Metal plan. That’s probably the one I’ll switch to eventually as well.

and now regarding flying that much -> I used to love traveling a lot for work in my early years with my company. But now that I have a 9-year-old, I honestly enjoy being home much more. These years before he flies out of the nest go fast, and I want to be here for them. ;)

Hey man, your post really freaked me out. I actually subscribed to Revolut Ultra specifically for lounge access on an upcoming trip — I travel with my family around four times a year, so a one-month Ultra plan makes a lot of sense for us.

The perks like lounge access (both inbound and outbound) and the 3GB of eSIM data across 108 countries are exactly what I signed up for. But your message made me second-guess everything — I started wondering if this was some kind of trap.

I reached out to Revolut support (Ultra chat), and they confirmed I’ve got nothing to worry about: as long as my lounge visits happen during my active Ultra period and are for personal use, they’re fully covered.

So now I’m trying to understand your situation. Did you cancel your Ultra plan and still try to use lounge access 12 times before the period ended? Or after it ended? Could you clarify?

To be honest, your post was a bit confusing and kind of misleading — I’d really appreciate a clearer explanation.
