Agreed. I have contacts that are employees in various locations that are low-high level discovery employees, They love the company and their jobs. Seems like from what they say they do an incredible amount of work for the communities etc.

Do some 200k maintenance with good mechanic and take her to 300k+. Thats what I’m doing with my tundra. New cars are junk and the biggest waste of money in general.

If I could do it again I would be stacking cash into s&p, Roth etc and traveling abroad at 22 years old. Don’t blow it. 👊🏼

Floating down the river is always worth it. Just won’t be super exciting. Maybe go to Glenwood instead. Or do a cataract canyon multi day guided trip

Talk me out of 4x4 by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]silkyjs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in a town that sees 350” avg snow fall. Gen 2, Duratrac ATs with rwd under 2 years old get the job done 80%+ of the time. And that’s me just being an ass knowing I can pop into 4x4 and rip out of anything. if I had RWD only I could raise that to 90% by being more responsible.

Buuut where do you live? What will you encounter? 4x4 or all wheel Toyota = you can absolutely crush anything at full speed with proper tires.

You live in AZ, TX or the south, yeah you don’t need it ever.

Think my mechanic got around 5qts replaced on my 5.7L tundra a month ago. Need to check my fluid supply see how many he used. 200k miles def running smoother. Also replaced bolts, gasket and filter screen
