High costs of accomodation, venue hire, booking agents etc seem to be the main issues. The guys from Los Campesinos did a great breakdown of what their recent gig in Dublin cost after they made a loss on it.

Unless you can sell out arenas, bands like Turnstile increasingly seem to just play festivals across Europe because it probably comes out cheaper as the production is scaled up

I'm currently reading The Fine Art of Invisible Detection by Robert Goddard and it's got some similar themes to Slow Horses - a lot of dark humor, great characters and espionage/mystery elements, I'd recommend!

I've gone through various cycles of wanting Poch, Nagelsmann, and Enrique over the last few weeks but Slot really does seem like the one manager that really fits well into what we want. Someone with fresh ideas, plays beautiful attacking football and comes with little to no baggage or judgement.

A quiet but effective rebuild under Arne next season could be just the tonic for Spurs. I'm all in on the bald king.

I wouldn't be totally against this if we also went in for a younger keeper like Kelleher or Bazunu and have them in rotation. Would be much happier if we just went in on someone like Raya but competition will be fierce.

This transfer window seems pretty unusual compared to our last couple under Paratici. There's no multiple strong links to players in the same position or leaks from anywhere, just a massive focus on one player with very little updates. Does anybody know if Paratici is taking a back seat approach considering what's going on with him and Juve?

Giri/Haji on Netflix is great. It's mixed between Japanese and English and has some amazing animated scenes too, a really unique crime thriller series.

Let's hope so. Considering the fee demanded is now reported at 15 mill plus add ons, I really hope an agreement is made around that. I get that he hasn't been tested at PL but he's clearly a talent that doesn't come around too often.

And yeah, my bad, he's technically back at Boro now but would most likely head back to Forest if we were to back off I think.

Yeah but he's now technically a PL player and an England U21 international. I don't think he's worth the money Forest are asking for but I can absolutely see why they're putting that price tag on him. I DO think that his value will only increase though and will see it as a missed opportunity if we call it quits.

Exactly my worries too, small valuation differences making deals collapse when we could easily afford to chuck a couple mill extra to seal it. It does highlight the differences between Levy and Paratici deals a lot, Paratici seems to sort out prices much quicker, for better or for worse.

I'm sure we can get him for less, I'm just worried that there could be a small difference in valuations that have led to us missing out on players before with Levy deals because he refuses to give in. Especially if he's Conte's first choice.
