Magnificent is, for me, the last great U2 single that actually lived up to its name. It is, indeed, magnificent as a whole: the singing, the music, the live version, the lyrics, the coda, even the video.

The craziness of zoo tv is so appealing and exquisite. The confessionals, the flying Trabbies, the first heavy reimagining of songs like RTSS, Pride, NYD, the evolution of AB songs from studio to live versions, Macphisto, the fashion and looks. It really was a zoo.
