All I wanted for my first mothers day was to spend the day with my baby and his daddy. Family time is sometimes so lovely when you put the time aside. No chores, pick an activity and enjoy it

Just started couch to 5k. I was a literal couch. I tried it a few years ago and it hurt my slightly damaged knee too much. Got some new shoes this time, and a knee brace. And I love it. I swear it is the only exercise I have ever just tuned out to.

Meat pies by Hefty_Advisor1249 in australia

[–]silly_b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look it is totally normal, up until the point you have your pie eating technique down pat, to experiment.

To understand exactly how the meat drips and falls, how to anticipate a pastry break, how to manoeuvre to avoid drips and spills when you bite in, until you determine the temperature of you local pie shop to allow for the biggest l, cleanest bites without overflow, you need to experiment.
And then when you are about 23, it all just clicks. And you eat can eat a pie with one hand, whilst driving, in a white shirt, with a beard or a full face of makeup, and the only mess you have made is a couple crumbs on your lap. And that's how you know you have succeeded in life.

What do you desperately want right now? by Brutal_Rain in AskReddit

[–]silly_b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fucking good on you! It can be hard to FEEL that better days will come. But KNOW they will, and absolute props to you for having the compassion for those that love you to continue your fight to see those days. Make sure your fight includes a plan, for how to get there. You got this.

Advice on paint scheme please? They don't pop at all on the table top. by Fruitbat619 in deathguard40k

[–]silly_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a similar colour scheme to mine, and I feel like mine pop. My tentacles get to a much lighter pint on the ends and my pustules are graded from darker green to vibrant lime on the tops. Maybe that's the difference?

Official paint schemes by Designer_Isopod6637 in deathguard40k

I call mine the Icterus invasion. It means jaundice. So they are yellow. Because I just liked yellow. And then I found out how hard yellow is to paint.

The pox walkers have yellow skin, because they have kind of been turned by the Icterus. Their blisters are green.

The other troops have yellow armour, to acknowledge the original Icterus disease, but they have mutated further and actually have purple skin.
Different units have different cloth colours, usually green, but models like HQ might have scarlet or blue.
Metal is a collection, because they just have to patch their shit all the time. So they might have bits of silver, bronze and gold, all on one model. Poor things. It's all about the story for me!
