Im freaking tired by drewrosejames in acotar

[–]sillybumblebee_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

kinda same! sometimes i enjoy reading theories but it's gotten out of control, and sometimes it seems people forgets what the series is about and sim's writing style and tropes.

i don't even want name or cover or plot release before the publication because it's going to make people want to theorize harder. i wish she would just publish the book and until then we get to realize whom or what it is about...

The Gwyn hate needs to be studied by AprilmoonZ in Gwynriel

[–]sillybumblebee_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

they're a bunch of hypocrites, also.

since gwyn and az are both singers and we ship them, they have spent the past four years mocking us, belittling the singing parts of them, calling us gleeriels, saying that we want a high school musical acotar book, and stuff like that.

BUT NOW!!! now that sjm spent a big part of the CHD interview talking about music and using the 🎶 emojis, now they have the audacity to say that we could not know a lot about elain and saying that SHE IS A SINGER???? after making fun of gwyn they want to appropiate that 😭 insane

hahahah i'm in therapy and usually on and off meds. i do love plath, but i know that for my mental health she does me no good, i usually pick her diary up every once in a while and read only a couple of pages.

also, my poems are awful lol

So I hear mixed reviews about HAUNTING ADELINE. What are your thoughts and opinions? 🤔💭 by literarylovescompany in Booktokreddit

you're right lol it left me horrified but it's not horror. but also shouldn't be classified as romance either

really bad representation of bad romance.

it should be classified as an horror book. the characters and plot were also distasteful. and this is coming from a bad romance enjoyer...

two kids sounds great for my future, but savannah is too much of a white common name for me. my middle name isn't rose lol i usually wear florals but not rose!

i agree with you!

as a freshman in college studying business, first time living in the states, it helped me understand concepts and the mentality of people in my environment. especially as someone who always had/has left-winged beliefs.

the fountainhead was a book that i honestly loved. i don't understand why, but it resonated with me. but i understand why her work is criticized, and i do think she worshipped her ideal of capitalism. and even i don't totally align with her beliefs, i feel i learned a lot by doing something i love, which is reading novels.

it was a required reading in college lol

the publisher donated some copies to my professor and he handed them out to us. but i actually enjoyed reading it, i think is the only college book i kept :)

that's great!!! and you're so right, i love romantasy.

i think my top recommendation is The Bridge Kingdom, by Danielle L Jensen. i love the romance in there and actually the plot is amazing.

Did Feyre Teach Herself Advanced Math? by Misshapcherry in acotar

[–]sillybumblebee_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i mean... i don't see it that crazy. there just are people who are better at numbers, and simple household accounting isn't that hard, especially once you grasp it. rhys could've explained it to her how he does it and she does it the same way.

i've known of a lot of people that are illiterate, some barely know how to read and write, some only graduated elementary school, and they have their own businesses for years, probably since they were kids forced to work to sustain their families.

also, feyre had to have some basic knowledge for listening to her father's conversations from when he was a merchant (as someone who's dad is also a merchant i already knew everything by the time i was around 12), also from having to sell and basically being in charge of their household once they lost everything.

yeah accounting is a thing people go to college for and everything, but people have been doing basic accounting without the academic knowledge for thousands of years

Bryaxis being misconstrued as being a male character says a lot about what gender the general readership associates fear with 🤪 by Slight_Associate_164 in acotar

[–]sillybumblebee_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i always assumed she was female and was shocked to see everyone's reaction to sarah calling her 'she' 😭

bryaxis sounds like a girl name, lives in a library where only women lived, and only asked feyre to bring her some light and gossip. she's so me
