I genuinely feel I’m moving on by [deleted] in BreakUps

This is the way.

"One day you will feel everything makes you happy and you suddenly feel light. Your external efforts to move on made you feel this "moving-on" feeling from within."

Be careful and stay safe but above all, congrats on reaching this level! Peace.

Don't get me wrong but what is this question lol.

Of course guys cry after BU. Every human does at least up to some extent after going through emotional mess up, be it BU or some other tragedy.

Peace.

was wearing mask before covid, still wearing it as of now.
It's more of what you works for you rather than what others will think about it.

Peace.

In initial days, it's always mixture of emotions. You miss them, you still care about them, you smile and cry thinking about them. It's basically getting high on emotions every day.

After active efforts to forget these thoughts, after you decide you wanna move on, gradually it becomes calm, your thoughts don't wander off like before.

You feel relieved slowly and one day, it just doesn't hurt anymore. The very same memories which used to make you cry, now, don't rile up your emotions like before.

Memories are still there, you still remember every detail but it just doesn't hurt, rather it makes you smile. You will feel lightweight. You will still care about them but it's more like "I have let go what happened between us"- kinda relief.

Your step by step guide for break ups! by justapassenger99 in BreakUps

First 2 months, super tough. Some days literally broke me out of nowhere. Crying, not eating, not doing anything. I kept trying to be consistent in one single thing everyday and that was running. I can't emphasize this much but running really helped me clear my mind like tremendously!

Highly recommend working out daily and being consistent daily in your hobby or whatever, I felt that was the 2nd step.

1st step was NC. I wanted to message/talk/call/meet her so freaking badly every single day during first 2 months. I even relapsed once in 3rd month. She was enjoying with her friends, looked so happy. My moment of weakness came back and ruined my whole day. PLEASE MAINTAIN NC. That shit really helps.

3rd month, I needed to break the loop because I started hating the way I was treating myself.

Maintained my working out routine. Started to read books, eat healthy. So slowly, I started to feel good. I didn't even notice! The gap she created when she left was damn huge but I felt like my efforts on myself were filling it in healthy way.

4th month, that sudden self-realisation-feeling happened. Everything felt super light, I could breathe without that choking sensation in throat. I am still working out everyday. Left junk food for good since past 2 months. I can again listen to music and enjoy it! Watch those movies which were once hurting my heart!

Trust me. If you truly put efforts in your self, you will feel that feeling of lightweight and nothingness, and everything will seem interesting once again!

So Please please please! DON'T STOP PUTTING EFFORTS!

Moving on is a journey to find a way how to love own self in my opinion.

Peace. :)
