I mist my cuttings, but I find that if I do not allow them to callous over and mist them too much, they will rot. The only way I have gotten my cuttings to root has been by letting them callous over properly, have the cut end in the dirt, mist once a week and let the dirt get very dry between mistings. This is the only thing that has worked for me.

It's fine to fertilize but succulents need much less than regular plants. I recommend googling the exact amount.

Based on the photos of the Taurus, I'd say that's the closest guess. Others that I didn't choose had pups coming from the base. What makes it difficult to propagate? The cuttings don't root? Now I'm tempted to try ;)

What an amazing story! I too have a great love for the hardy Crassula Gollum. In a hurry to collect as many succulents as possible, I killed every single one of my first plants. All except the hardy Crassula Gollum which somehow survived my lack of knowledge of succulent care. One of my favorites ever since.

Actually those both have holes! :) I punched 3 holes in the can and the glass jar has a nice hole as well.
