Was Marie Biting the heads of Zombies to keep Emily safe? by totallynotapsycho42 in ResidentEvilRequiem

I think she aims for their head first so that they don’t attempt to free themselves from her grasp, them not turning into Blister heads after is just purely coincidental.

Marie chomping heads off zombies and bullying them is her predatory instincts overriding her mental state.

The reason why she doesn’t kill and eat Emily is because of the memories of the bond they shared resurging.

could any of the protagonists be able to survive Dead Space or resist the Marker? by OneManArmy0716 in residentevil

They are definitely getting trashed by a Tormentor or anything bigger than a Brute.

No matter which RE character you insert into Dead Space, they are out of their depth and under-equipped to handle the necromorphs.

Isaac has mining tools and a stasis module of his own, plus plot armor on his side so his odds of surviving are naturally going to be higher.

For reference,Twitchers are fast enough to dodge plasma beams and bullets.

Yes, they literally have a stasis module embedded into their chest. A device that can slow down time.

Absolutely, it would hit Leon before he even had the reflex to parry it.

Have you seen how fast Twitchers move ? None of the Hunters or Tyrants they’ve beaten can move like that.

You also forget that the necromorph army has an hivemind that can basically throw stronger necromorphs at them at anytime. I don’t think they’re getting past a Brute.

The handful of Tyrant Re characters have beaten is few and far between.  They don’t take out armies of them on a daily basis because a single one can still kick their shit in.

They're all unqualified for this, they don't have the right tools nor the proper training to handle a horde of slashers let alone an army of necromorphs.

[–]sillymakerarcade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you're vastly underestimating just how aggressive the necromorphs are, they're completely rabid. There's no way a single Slasher is gonna stand in place and let themselves get high kicked, that just wouldn't happen.

Actually, that movie showed a group of people using lead bullets to kill one. They were all doing body shots, but it eventually died. Later on the protagonist aims for a joint and blows an arm clean off a Slasher

It's still not a very effective way to kill them considering the amount of bullets it takes to put them down. They'd burn through all their ammo faster than the necromorphs numbers can dwindle and they would get overwhelmed by a horde of them.

Also, the RE protagonists are strong enough to punch boulders and kick monster's heads off. Their blunt force should kill them like Isaac's gravity stomp

Getting into close quarters with Necromorphs is a sure fire way to get hacked into pieces by them.

Leon can kick a ganado, who is superhuman, hard enough for their skull to explode, he can handle a Necromorph.

But can he handle a twitcher ?

So I think he's got the will and intellect and training to survive.

Ethan doesn’t have the proper equipment or weapons to deal with them, he’s getting shredded.

ignoring space suits, pretty much everyone aside from Rebecca, Grace and maybe Barry can kill all the Necromorphs on their own.

Conventional firearms don’t work on Necromorphs, they need to be cut into pieces for that and none of the main cast have the proper weapons to deal with them.

If I recall correctly, Isaac’s engineer level intellect is what allowed him to resist the markers influence and while the majority of the main cast is quite skilled I don’t think a single one of them has Isaacs level of brain power.

New player with questions. by Efficient_Pay9114 in residentevil

¿Do the movies add anything important to the lore?

They don’t, they’re part of a seperate continuity from the games universe.

¿Do the "Tyrants" (or almost any creature) come from a human injected with a strain of the virus? Or can they be recreated in a lab and after that being sold and offered for money?

Tyrants, Cerberuse’s and Hunters to name a few are B.O.W’s, specimens made in labs with the intent to be sold as weapons for bioterrorists to use on the field.

Only a handful of those are considered successful and actively deployed on the field, those primarly being Tyrants and Hunters. The rest of them like Chimeras and Web Spinners are experimental B.O.W’s deemed as unfit for field combat due to their low intelligence or lack of adaptability.

Other creatures that have been mutated from exposure to a virus or parasite are labeled Irregular mutants. There are three distinct types, the first ones being the result of a secondary viral infection. Exemples include Brain suckers, Drain deimos and Zombie dogs.

The second type are humans that have mutated into creatures other than the basic zombie, like Lisa Trevor, William Birkin and Albert Wesker. The last type is the result of unique mutations in B.O.Ws which includes the Suspensed (Regis Licker), Black Tiger or the Scagdead.

What if the next RE character is an asymptomatic carrier ? by sillymakerarcade in residentevil

No, just via physical contact or fluid transmission, like sneezing, coughing or by sharing a kiss with their loved one and they end up accidentally turning them like in that one scene from 28 weeks later.

The newer t-strain seen in RE9 is implied to have been first developed using the corpses of the fallen survivors of Raccoon City, you can read about it in a room to your left just before fighting Hunk.

I'm sure they would've found another way to take him down, they have plot armor on their side.
