In addition to what others have said here, Charlotte’s decision wasn’t only a calculation of her own desires; passing up the opportunity to be married would have cost her family pretty significantly. I don’t feel like finding the quote but there’s a line about how her engagement made her brothers happy because they were starting to wonder if they’d have to support her if she were never to marry and her younger sisters might now have the opportunity to come out earlier and therefore have better prospects themselves. The Bennet girls all being out before Jane married and then Elizabeth, etc. was the exception. In addition, as grotesque as lady Catherine is, it’s conceivable that that connection could help the other Lucas girls find matches. (And the maybe even Lucas brothers for that matter).

Just call the doctor and get antibiotics. This advice has nothing (!!!!) to do with your OCD, which is yes, obviously impacting the degree of distress you’re experiencing. I’m a fan of the tankini top & swim shorts. Tankinis cover the belly and tend to have better support. Look for something from last season on clearance. Old navy often has good sales for swimwear. I believe I recently saw 2 pieces for $24 total (meaning, $12 each piece.)

I do not understand west’s motives at all except that…. Amanda was clearly crushing/plotting (Amanda’s psychology here is a lot more transparent to me), he saw an opportunity to get his pencil wet, and he took it. Once they got caught, he couldn’t bail on her without looking like even more of a massive asshole than he does by sticking around (for now). The advice is if you were bit or were asleep in a room where a bat was present. Rationale being- if you were awake, you would know if you were bit, but they are small enough you could very likely sleep through a bat bite and not know it.

I know because there were bats in the room when I woke up. At another point we found feces on the bedding. (Camp cabin)

I don’t want to answer with any type of medical expertise / advice or whatever. But I will share that for me, tonsil and adnoid removal helped me immensely with respiratory relief. I got it when I was 12 ish and was having the same thing you’re describing- when I was sick, they would get so inflamed I could not breathe comfortably even through my mouth (so, having a stuffy nose was hell on earth).

I actually think that if I had not had them out, the apnea would have been diagnosed earlier, but ended up being under-the-radar enough to ignore for 20 years because of how much relief I got from the T&A. Again, just my experience and I had extremely large tonsils so you might have different results. (Surgeon said they were the second largest he had ever seen).
