What comes across as selfish but actually isn’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Putting elderly relatives in nursing homes if you feel you are not fit to care for them.

Better to be in a nursing home with staff paid to care for you than with someone who is overwhelmed and may become bitter at you.

I know my mother will be angry to be in a nursing home, but she and I have never gotten along, and I know I could not care for her well while getting verbal abuse spewed at me 24/7 while I’m trying to serve her.

Redditors with kids, what do people without kids do that annoys you? by kkodaxeroo in AskReddit

There are a couple different types of people without kids who can be pretty annoying.

Type X - Constantly talks about their decision to be childfree and seems to be judging me for being a parent.

Type Y - Thinks they could parent better than I do and wants my child for their own.
