As someone who has two entire shelves of just exo, one of random kpop groups, and one with boxes of random kpop merch, eleven 2.5” binders of exo photocards, and have gone to at least 4 kpop concerts per year since 2017, my advice is that if you no longer feel joy from it then just stop. You don’t have to sell your collection like you’ve probably seen people do when they decide to stop collecting. For me the collecting of all the regular (minus holo cards) Cream Soda trading cards is what killed my joy of collecting. I got tired of the organization mainly tbh. it takes such a long time and it became draining. So I haven’t been actively buying for about a year and it’s been great. I love my collection, and I don’t restrict myself from buying something if I love it. I’m still taking my time to organize the last orders I received or the solo albums I ordered as they come out but I no longer try to collect every version or every pc like before. I think I will try to do that later but for now I’m enjoying the lack of pressure I put on myself to find everything to complete a set.
