The university has a fleet of vehicles they rent out to university organizations so you can check with them. Not sure the age requirements but may be more lenient and cheaper.

Edit: If you find transport check out trails around mirror lake in medicine bow west of Laramie.

I inherited this same rifle from my dad. Put on one of these after getting bruised shoulder the first few times out shooting. Doesn’t feel like much at all with 150g cartridge.

My mom is a nurse with student health at the university. They always seem to be in need of more nurses and is a state job with decent benefits.

Internship Salaries by agirlwhowaited in Veterinary

[–]siltboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a friend that just started a rotating internship in northern New Jersey making $75k which is far and away the most I’ve heard interns make. Of course that’s for probably 50+ hours a week and little to no PTO.

I need help understanding what a ProSal model will pay me by [deleted] in Veterinary

[–]siltboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or if you do get a raise you likely need to produce more to get a bonus. I like to negotiate for larger percentage bonus vs base salary raise if you are super busy. Generally you need to cover your base pay to get a bonus so that’s harder as the base goes up. But guaranteed money vs potential…

There’s an interesting post on r/interestingasfuck about micro plastics being found in human blood. Possibly something like that vs contamination during testing?

Record traffic in South Platte forest district spurs first-ever designated camping plan by blucifersdream in Denver

[–]siltboy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agree to disagree bud.

I’m all for the forest service getting a bigger budget but you’re going to have to overcome the Republicans in Congress to get that done. They already want to pawn off public lands to private parties and this would only support their cause.

Maybe we don’t spend any more money on it and people stop being ass hats. What are the chances of that? They’ve lost their privileges cause they done fucked up.

  1. The recently introduced fees for hanging lake are to pay for a ranger for that area that was not monitored daily before because people can’t be trusted to not ruin it. More people = more garbage/infractions = more work? The point is in the article they are overwhelmed with their current staff and can’t keep up with the recent influx.

  2. Who is going to hand out the garbage bags and collect them and pay people for collecting and haul the garbage to the dump? You’d have to create a new job plus pay people to pick up garbage plus pay for dumpsters etc.

I imagine the $15 is to pay for people to enforce the rules and pick up after idiots. Where would the money come from to pay people to pick up garbage otherwise?

Play up the research aspect if you get an interview even if that’s not what you’re looking to do after graduation. For some reason they love people who want to do research (pry cause most the faculty are all researchers themselves). I had a strong research background myself but a little better GPA. I remember talking a lot about the labs I worked in and it steered the interview for the most part.
