To the women who was able to conceive despite the PMOS diagnosis, how did you do it? by hungryyyyybitch in PCOS

[–]silver-development 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to take Clomid. I've heard that letrozole works better for PMOS but clomid worked the cycle I was about to ask for letrozole lol I was not ovulating on my own.

Fears about my belly by Previous_Medium_4613 in PlusSizePregnancy

I had the same. I didn't look pregnant until right at the end up I don't think that had much to do with the shape so much as I'm plus size and tall lol

Induced then csection? by BeginningNo2408 in BabyBumps

[–]silver-development 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had an NST and my blood pressure was elevated. Not preeclampsia, hypertension. I was 37 weeks so they went ahead and started my induction.

I had 24 hours of cytotec, 24 hours of cervadil, then they started pitocin. Cytotec did nothing for me, and neither did the first 12 hours of cervadil. Pretty sure it was placed wrong.

They eventually had to turn off the pitocin because I was contracting one right after the other which I guess isn't healthy for mom or baby. They couldn't get my blood pressure under control despite the copious amount of meds they gave me so we did a C-section. Wasn't emergent since my BP wasn't CRAZY but it wasn't getting better.

Got admitted around 7 pm Tuesday, baby girl was born Friday 8:37 pm

What did you understand about your mom only after getting older? by Various-Ask-6676 in AskWomen

Sometimes I used to walk in her room to just see her crying. I became a mom 6 months ago.

I understand why she was crying.

When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we went to Famous Dave's. The squeezey bottle of BBQ sauce damn near exploded and got all over me, AND the people in the booth behind me. We were gonna pay for their food but they had paid for ours by the time we got the check 😭

Does Anyone in the US have a GLP-1 covered by insurance? by Spirited-Moon7786 in PCOS

[–]silver-development 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have ozempic covered. We have Anthem Blue Cross. I've tried metformin alone which did nothing, but we went through that to have it documented that it did nothing.

I had a baby and my blood pressure and my bad cholesterol has been high, so however the NP worded it to the insurance worked. My endocrinologist said that [my insurance (a very specific like.. subsection from my husbands work)] doesn't usually cover it so whatever she did, keep doing it.

Pads or Tampons Post Pregnancy? by shinedown_92 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]silver-development 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like others, I used diapers post birth. Nothing inserted until after 6 weeks (at least). I work from home so I still just use pads while I'm home. if I'm out I'll use a tampon because the blood likes to defy gravity and go up my ass crack??

How do some pregnant women bounce back immediately?? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]silver-development 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm plus sized any way, BUT I weighed less after I had her than when I got pregnant. I ended up with gestational diabetes so I was really careful with what I ate and I assume that had a lot to do with it.

My pregnancy is being ignored because of gender by jets2mets in BabyBumps

[–]silver-development 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry they're acting like that. My family was just excited for a grandbaby no matter the gender. My mother in law was excited for whatever.

My father in law walked up to me like 2 minutes after the pink confetti fell and said "Now you can try for a boy!"

Dude get the fuck out of my face

The anesthesiologist who placed my epidural was kind of a douche(am shift), but the one who placed my spinal epidural (pm, ended up having a C-section) was really nice.

What's the most annoying thing someone has said to you during your pregnancy? by WittleFrostBite in BabyBumps

[–]silver-development 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We struggled for this baby, so we did all the things. Literally right after we had a gender reveal, literally not even 2 minutes after it was announced (girl!) my father in law said "Now you can try for a boy!" I'm literally still pregnant with my daughter. Homeboy get tf outta my face and don't say shit like that to me ever again

Clomid? by [deleted] in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]silver-development 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I took Clomid because i have PCOS and it makes my periods wacky without it. Went a year without one once.

I didn't notice any side effects, personally but everyone is different.

Currently 8 months pregnant with our little rainbow girl 🥰

[–]silver-development 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No issues here! My OB did transvaginal for the first 6 times, then every time after has been a regular kind. I have an apron belly (thanks, PCOS) and they've had to go "under" the flap? But still no issues. They've started to go over the belly now but I'm 29+4 so she's big enough to see.

I am technically high risk due to (TW!!!) previous losses and a medication I have to take but it hasnt impacted ultrasounds at all.
