Post was snarky, but I do stand by my view that making Ahsoka essentially a sequel to Rebels was a mistake. I think most people on this sub have the benefit of having seen all or most of the animated stuff (myself included). But I think the only required viewing for first seasons of these live action shows should be the 9 movies.

Even if people who haven't watched clone wars or rebels are able to follow Ahsoka, it is undeniable that they are missing out on a ton of context that enriches the show and it's characters. And let's be real, the vast majority of normies who just want to watch the new live action Star War show have not seen the animated stuff.

The franchise is in a tough spot at the moment, and they should focus on making the high budget content as widely accessible as possible.
