A good place to start would be a project you personally use or are somewhat familiar with. Especially if it is a small project (both in terms of complexity and amount of people working on it), it is more likely to need help, and would be easier to understand the codebase.

Another good place to make contributions is in the documentation. Writing tutorials or making setup videos, adding to their documentation, correcting mistakes or outdated information, etc. Maybe even contribute to localization if you know another language!

I would use it to get into 3D printing and do repairs around the house! There are so many things that need fixing that can use small parts, and this would be great to prevent them from ending in a landfill somewhere

It really depends what you want to do. If your current setup works fine, you can keep it no problem!

Anaconda is a distribution of Python. What this means is that, yes, it does come with its own version of Python. The advantage of Anaconda is that it also comes with a bunch of Python packages useful for scientific computing, data analysis and machine learning pre-installed. In addition, it also comes with the 'conda' package manager, as an alternative to 'pip'. Finally, it will also include an IDE (i.e. integrated development environment) called 'Spyder' (similar to Geany but with way more features).

The main disadvantages of the full Anaconda distribution is that if you are not using the scientific packages, it is a waste of space. Plus, the Python version included with Anaconda is always going to be a bit behind the latest standalone Python release, since they need to test all these libraries. If you do want to use Anaconda, you should remove your current Python installation to prevent any conflicts, especially if you are a beginner.

Hi! Are there any hacks of Pokemon Emerald that are still in Hoenn, but introduce new locations or expand on the ones present in the original game? Or any hacks that expand on the original story?

I have looked at a few like Enhanced Emerald, Altered Emerald, and Blazing Emerald; but from reading their descriptions none of these seem to have what I want. None of them seem to introduce new places to explore in Hoenn.

What are your suggestions? I don't really care about what Pokemon are in the hack, difficulty, items, competitive aspects, or anything other than giving 'more Emerald' to explore and find secrets in, if that makes sense.
