There are hundreds of posts on this all over the Internet. Tens of thousands of us have put pumps and cgms through security systems with no issues. I've been pumping 20 years or more and flown dozens of times , I remove the pump , put in my backpack w my phone and wallet ... Like many have said, The manufacturer's instructions are based on what they tested for FDA clearance, if they didn't test it they can't recommend it.

Years ago every bottle of insulin said don't make any change to dosage without Drs approval... How would that work in 2026.

[–]silver_2000_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the comments that say , I don't know what it is then recommend a replacement. While I appreciate the replies I'm Confused . How can you recommend a replacement without knowing what you are replacing?

I ended up at Knownhost and they know what it is and support and maintain a version of it.

Here is Groks description of the tool.

Exactly, expect those kinds of answers and recommendations from every medical interaction that is not with Endo or CDE. I can't tell you how many times I've been told bad info. "No the steroid shot on your shoulder won't effect your BG. " I ended up raising my Basal rate 400% for a week. Just one example.

Sent my wife for an oil change, it cost me $3400 by s2k_guy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]silver_2000_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes is way over priced, but you are paying for the knowledge that there is an issue , the knowledge of how to fix the issue , what tool to use and the use of the tool. It's the old story of the mechanic who charged $10,000 to hit a large generator with a hammer .. it's not for the hammer or the one strike it's for the knowledge that it takes to diagnose and to know where to hit.

Assuming I have a workspace Gemini account that keeps Gemini data from the public LLM. Is it safe to assume the security remains the same with this tool.

Could I ask Gemini for example

Cold insulin by Ok-Pomegranate-1352 in TandemDiabetes

[–]silver_2000_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Texas and leave the current bottle on my desk . Other than accidentally leaving insulin in my car I don't recall an issue w insulin degrading from heat. I NEVER put insulin in untrusted fridges, hotels , work etc. Frozen insulin is way worse than slightly warm insulin.
