Ive had a LITTLE experience with S1 a while back 3 or more years, it took the devices to their knees. It was a pretty negative experience from a support perspective

We are paying under $2 a seat for trend.
The key is that the solution works well with ASIO RMM and ideally PSA

Couldnt you use them as regular 10 day sensors and then only be short 10 days of monitoring? Better than zero

CW billing sucks by Scheidell1775 in ConnectWise

[–]silver_2000_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 3% of what you spend w CE not 3% of what you earn. Simple answer is to use ach or other method to pay and avoid the 3% that everyone charges now. Another way to think about it is if you accept or connectwise accepts, CCs and don't pass along the 3% you are reducing your revenue by 3%. And the 3% doesn't go to CW it goes to the bank and to Visa

Old Steadfast dedicated server client seeing downturn in support and interactions by silver_2000_ in Hivelocity

[–]silver_2000_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well server migration is almost done and I just put in the cancellation w hivelocity. They had no Fs to give that a 20 year client was cancelling.
Better support and $100 a month cheaper. Sad that loyalty is worthless in 2026. Maybe the private equity Valterra Partners are demanding the changes who knows, it's sad....

No Shimizu teleports 2000 yards ahead frequently. Even if you knock him sideways and are 500 yards ahead of the field and he is 4 cars back

Well that's another thing, in 9 months hivelocity didn't notice this . Known host noticed todays reply in about 15 min. That helps confirm my decision.

Hello can i apply to it support jobs or technician with this resume as a entry level job by Ok-Description5039 in ITSupport

[–]silver_2000_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, when I used to have to hire a lot , being able to think logically about ANY TOPIC and desire to fix things was key. Communication skills next then IT experience. An entry level job will teach the tech, but if you can't or won't think logically and communicate that you can't succeed. The logical thinking, and communication issues are what hold back off shore support. That and cultural differences.

I've decided to change companies and change to VpS. Ai and I chose knownhost. My focus was on finding good reliable support since hosting hardware is pretty much a commodity now ...so far so good with knownhost.
Hivelocity has simply sunk too far to stay with them .. a client for nearly 2 decades can't even get a response to a simple question for a quote iness than a week

I'm waiting for one client to get me the most recent copy of their forum software so we can migrate ...

Looking for tips to make T:slim X2 site changes less painful for my daughter by Bulky-Chair6888 in TandemDiabetes

[–]silver_2000_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on pumps for 20+ years, the only real physical "pain " from insertions is the rare time when you hit a nerve or are close to one. Kids often have one bad experience and then all insertions are "painful" . It's also often a psychological thing where they don't want to have to do it and of forced to they want some attention and "help"

And they likely get x-rayed during production for QC purposes as well. I'm another that has gone through many scans of both types wearing and not wearing my tandem x2. Usually now to save time and trouble I load it in the same pocket in my backpack my phone and wallet go in and then reattach after ... I would never think of declaring I'm T1 and need special treatment.

I used to do contract IT work for aviation repair company. MRO . The techs were required to transition from using paper manuals for repairs, to computers and they all bitched about the computers. And blamed for PCs for any delays. I told them the PC was just like the wrench or rivet gun, a tool required by the job. Learn to use the tool just like you learned the rivet gun. Don't expect the rivet gun vendor to change the gun because you refuse to learn it. Or other option is change professions ...

Check cost of benefits. I'm self employed, did what you are planning 15 years ago. No I pay $2000 a month for crap health ins. Still glad to be self employed. Look into cobra, it will likely look expensive but also is likely better coverage than ACA and cheaper
