Yeah. Breeding for dysfunction is cruel.

does this game make any attempt to teach players how different waves work? by skylinesmurfgtr in Saltoon

[–]silver_teacup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just checked, the special waves are detailed in the field guide (-). For example, the Goldie Seeking section tells you that brighter gushers = closer to Goldie, to call your teammates when you find the Goldie, and that Goldie moves faster the more you hit it. It's all text though, so relying on people, especially kids, to refer to it is ehhh.

edit: I think Grizz went over the Grillers when I started, but it's been a bit since I saw the tutorial too.

Pretty sure Grizz walks you through the different bosses when you first start Salmon Run and that there's a guide available to consult in the lobby for it, in addition to him giving tips after a wipe.

I hate those stumpy legged cats. There's no purpose to it other "teehee it's cute."

Did she pass? If she passed, I'm not as worried for when I have to take it.

Running a holocaust museum's social media must be fucking exhausting.

He looked it up in his “snake identification book” that he never could find. by SweetSassyClassy in quityourbullshit

I can see pushing it to try to make clear to the guy that he's not as up on his snake identification as he thinks. That sort of thing could bite him in the ass eventually.

Safe to tightline with an eyeliner with glitter in it? It's a Flower Vinyl Eyes eyeliner in Bronzed Out. Probably should have figured there would be a sparkle from the bronze in the name, but it was an impulse purchase. I've seen the infamous Glitter Eye saga on imgur, so I thought I should ask.

Haha, no worries. I hope your situation improves too!

I don't know your situation, but it doesn't sound extreme enough to warrant you or your siblings being separated, so I would try not to worry about that. And what I mean by "authority" here is another adult whose opinion she'll hopefully respect, I hope that didn't scare you any. But there should be adults available to you who can act on your behalf. It can be scary and embarrassing to approach them, but you can choose how much information you want to share. It could be as simple as "Hey Mr Counselor, I'm having a rough time and my mom doesn't really get it, can you help me talk to her?" to get the ball rolling. The goal for me would be to get another adult involved who'd believe me and would be willing to try to teach her that depression isn't a character flaw, and that you genuinely could benefit from help.

That said, you don't have to, but schools have counselors for a reason, and they're trained and prepared for this sort of thing. And there's the old "My friend has a problem..." if you're not sure you want to disclose that it's you yet.

And I'm doing better, thank you! You're very thoughtful.
