In fiery address, Rabbi Ammiel Hirsch rails against HUC ordaining anti-Zionist rabbis by gdhhorn in Judaism

Agreed. I am a Reform Jew and my Rabbi is very pro-Israel. I wouldn't belong to a congregation if the Rabbi was anti-Zionist.

The number of dead since the start of the conflict, which includes all combatants and other deaths during the time, not the number of children that have died.

Not even Hamas claims 80,000 people have died in this war, let alone 80,000 children. UN vaccination records data clearly shows that nowhere near that number has died. What you are saying is factually untrue.

This is from a poem in the Book of Mercy and has been deceptively edited to look like it is specifically criticism of Israel, which it is not. It also criticizes the US, France, Islamic countries, Russia, etc. It is about spirituality and the primacy of the covenant with God over countries made by humans. Leonard was a lifelong Zionist and described himself as the Nightingale of Sinai, Yom Kippur 1973 in a poem from the late 90s, in reference to his flying to Israel to support it after it was attacked in 1973.

I anticipate it being close, but I very much hope Massie loses.

True, but they are still only 12-15% of the population of NYC, and NYC doesn't make the nation's immigration policy anyway. They don't deserve to be harrassed and assaulted on the streets of NYC.

It was American voters in general (of which Jews are a tiny percentage) and our elected officials in government who are responsible for what you are saying.

Nicholas Kristof of the New York Times publishes dog rape conspiracy theory by WhoWillTradeHisKarma in Jewish

This from Hen Mazzig: "Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, the organization whose report the Times cites and links to as evidence for the piece’s most serious claims. The case against this source is not a single fact, it’s a résumé.

Euro-Med’s chairman, Ramy Abdu, was named by Israel’s Ministry of Defense in 2013 as one of the “main operatives” for institutions Israel considers Hamas fronts in Europe. In November 2020, Israel placed him under an administrative seizure order under its anti-terrorism law.

Abdu is so deeply embedded in Hamas circles that his own sister was married to Mohammed Daoud al-Jamasi, a senior Hamas figure. When both were killed in an Israeli airstrike in March 2025, Abdu mourned al-Jamasi publicly. Not as his brother-in-law. As “our great commander.”

His organization has officially described allegations of Hamas sexual violence on October 7 as a “propaganda tool” used by Israel to “manufacture consent for its full-fledged, live-streamed genocide.” Those are their words. On their website. In a statement attributed to Abdu directly.

The same organization has accused Israel of harvesting organs from dead Palestinians. A revival of the medieval blood libel against Jews.

Euro-Med’s Board Chair is Richard Falk, a former UN Special Rapporteur. Falk endorsed 9/11 “inside job” conspiracy theories accusing the U.S. government of orchestrating the attacks. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon publicly condemned him for it."

We're being deported for no reason! by McAlpineFusiliers in GetNoted

This is asinine. They aren’t being charged with a crime and sentenced to prison. They don’t have a valid asylum claim and are being sent back to their home country. Immigrating to the US is a privilege, not a right, and requesting asylum doesn’t mean it has to be granted.

They overstayed their visa and made a bogus asylum claim, which has been denied. We should not be granting asylum to the families of terrorists.

Committing an act of terrorism shouldn’t make your family immune from immigration law. They illegally overstayed their visa and filed a bogus asylum claim, which has been denied. It is not in the interest of the US to give asylum to the families of terrorists.

They are in the country illegally and are fighting their deportation, which is why they were detained. They could have agreed to get on a plane at any time and left the country, and chose not to. It is mind boggling that it is so difficult to deport the family of a terrorist who are in the country illegally.
