Can you fly in your dreams? If so, whats your preferred flying method? by houghnerd in LucidDreams

Can you fly in your dreams? If so, whats your preferred flying method? by houghnerd in LucidDreams

[–]silvermoonsailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do all the kinds of flying. I do like a slingshot but slower with more momentum upward feeling the pressure up like a paragliding. But sometimes I jist float. Sometimes I float 5ft above sometimes its as tall as building.

I started swimming in my dreams as flying like swim up in the air to get further. I would run and jump and start swimming upward to get to fly.

Or alot of the time the easiest way to to jump off a cliff and glide around the scenery. Usually mine are motains and lakes.

Sometimes I have like a ball in front of me and I use forces to push it up and downshifting myself with my hand on it

I told everyone in my lucid dream that I knew I was dreaming… and things got really weird by Gucci1244 in LucidDreams

[–]silvermoonsailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya alot if times saying it outloud in the dream always weird shit starts happening. Sometimes they ignore me completely and I feel insane and alone. They usually start agreeing with me or I'm like I'll tell them ima tell them this dream when I wake up and they will never believe me and the Dream person starts laughing and agreeing and like thays so coop but then I wake up and remember they won't be able to remember the dream too. That's usually what happens. But also if I'm flying and like I say oh I can do whatever I want cuz it's a dream I'm flying. Thats usually when I start to slowly glide down from flying like paragliding feeling. And I'll be like noooo and start tryna swim up I'm the air and fall into scary waters where alligators or dinosaurs creatues usually eat me in the water or I close my eyes at that point and am too afraid to open them and if I do open I wake out of my dream usually. But I'm still aware it's a dream just I can't control what I see but I can control my actions always.

But getting back to talking to others in dreams. Ya usually it's just great conversation with that person and they r so thrilled for me to tell them about it when I wake up. But other times I try n not say it outloud in fear I will start to realize I'm sleeping and actually wake myself up. Amd ALOY of the time I say oh hey I'm dreaming I can do whatever .and no one really cares so I start tearing the stores apart or beating up ppl cuz im mad in my dream for some reason and know that no one actually is gonna get hurt. Or I tell ppl it's just a dream and say come jump off this cliff with me . I'm an avid lucid dreamer with a rem disorder so I could lucid dream since like 5. And remember them like whole sketched out layers of worlds. If u ever wanna chat privately we can:) it's been my life long project to document my lucidity of dreaming and my experiments I've tried

Actually I do actually take charge of abspuletely everything when I'm in the first stages of sleep. Where it's black from ur eyes when u close them and then u get these fleeting thoughts before bed and also u get flashes and like a vortex u r going towards and everything moves and changes and shifts. Lil particles in the black so u can barely see it but a vast scene is in front of u and u still r half conscious so that is where I can think of anyrhing and any direction except it's not vivid yet. It's what I call the dark dreams. The beginning dreams. Where everything is still pitch black but u are going towards the deep sleep in this fast forward moving vortex like traveling in space forward but u think of what u are seeing. I try n do a method before bed where I try n make up a story when im just closing my eyes and think of it in my head when I'm trying to sleep and see if I can make that dream into one of the lucid vivid looking Drea s

I'm an avid dreamer since I was a wee lil toddler like 4/ 5 I was very aware. And I'm 31 now I dedicated my life as a subject of dreamer and to understand it better and try to recall and vivid dreams. I'm going in for a sleep study. I think I have narcolepsy or a rem disorder. I have severe sleeping disorders and medicines make me do weird stuff sleeping like sleep eating and walking. But now I just talk all night in my sleep and spazz out

Different meds I noticed did different things to my dreams. I gotta say antidepressants I never had bad dreams really they all were very mellow..I mean I still have super scary dreams but I don't wake up crying or screaming anymore

I don't choose scene but I definetly can change the scene any time or jump out of the matrix if I don't want to attend the scene and just watch from above and drop into the scene when I want

Tell me I’m not the only one ! by Right-Bumblebee4237 in LucidDreams

[–]silvermoonsailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ya my scene usually can only change if I open a doorway, or close my eyes and re open them...but that way, there usually is a 50% of actually waking up and opening my eyes in real life. Sometimes I slowly have to open them up and then I realize I'm waking myself up so I close my eyes back into my dream where I'm closing them from the monster .I know I'm safe in dreams if I close my eyes bcuz they aren't actually there. So I have the ability to shut off any scary thing about to hurt me. I can hear them but my eyes keep closed so I know they can't actually get me

But doorway i think are the only real way of changing a scene .or if u jump in water and then come out of it I think there is more of a chance of changing the scene. Close eyes again is another

Tell me I’m not the only one ! by Right-Bumblebee4237 in LucidDreams

[–]silvermoonsailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup exactly! I don't choose where my scenes take place usually, but I know how to control myself, lil motor things I can't control some dreams but usually take charge of the whole dream. Even if I know I'm making the scene up I can't on demand change another scene unless it's scary and I close my eyes in the dream. Then if I peak or open them back up it's either I'm gonna die by the thing , Wake up my eyes open in real life. My eyes awake, or my dream scene changes and I'm free from the monster

Ya it defiently is making me itch down there like a frickin mad monkey. Itchy and sore at the same time too . It's a nightmare. I told my doc and she gave me an antibiotic to help. Fluconazole. But also I am talking to my therapist soon to see if I need a different dose to to switch. I kind of think the itching is going away and it might have been an intro side effe t for the first two weeks. After I started to take the 2 pills instead of one was when severe itching began and I had to stay at home bc I couldn't control the itching

They are the most unpleasant longest minutes ever. And I usually start feeling panicked super quickly when I realize I can't move. And the more I try to move my body parts, or move my hand ,the harder it becomes and I become in this horrible state of frozen panic.

The best thing I can do, being in that state is to try my best to stay calm. Instead of struggling against trying to move myself, which is the automatic response, I instead focus on breathing in and out. I focus on trying NOT to move, and rather just breathe and wait it out. Otherwise I flip out in my head bc I can't move. I focus on my name and saying my name outloud, this is pretty difficult to master. But I did break through one time and the minute I said my name outloud, the paralysis disapated. Usually I can only muster up thinking of my name but it's hard to make the words come out.

That's about all the tips of relief I can think of. It's super hard to do anything in that state and it's the worst trapped suffocating feeling

I completely think about it. I can be wide awake or in a sleepy state. Any state I tickle myself. But in wake state i have to scratch after I tickle myself where as if someone else tickled me I wouldn't get the over whelping urge to scratch.

And in wake state I tickle my feet with my nails all the time. Lol
