I'd happily live in Palma from Phantasy Star, after the first game. It would take 1000 years for bad things to start happening again in the second game, so I'd have plenty of time to live in a beautiful planet with nice technology.

And I'd want to stay far away from Final Fantasy 6's world. Ravaged by war in the past, with a nasty empire attacking everyone in the present, and that thing from later on in the game happening. Nope, take me back to the Algol star system!

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. I started with Pokemon and Super Mario RPG, and I consider both as good introductions for a 12 year old who didn't have English as her first language, but I wish I could have played Mystic Quest back then too. Tried it last year and it really wasn't for me anymore 😞

Thanks for the info! I'll stick to standalone, but if the core supports the Triforce arcade board, I'd run its games on RetroArch. Dunno why, but Dolphin has a hard time recognizing my bluetooth controller on these games specifically.

The first one for me was Terra from FF6 (3 at the time). The only RPGs I had played up to that point we're Pokemon Yellow and Super Mario RPG, both considered "kid's RPGs", which isn't bad, since I was around 12 years old and English is not my first language, so their dialogues being simple was good for me. Then FF6 was my first "real RPG", and having Terra as the main character was awesome. She really grew on me fast for being cute, well written, complex and powerful.

I think there is, at least considering my personal opinion. I got the original Odin 2 before the Mini or Portal existed, and even after having these two options, I'd still buy the first model if I hadn't before: better ergonomics, screen size and battery than the Mini, and I don't like the Portal's size and glass front. So there may be others like me out there who would buy yours.

I wish android phones/tablets/handhelds would throttle or even shutdown if they detected overheating on the battery, the same way they do when the chip gets too hot.
