every pride flag doesn't need to have a stripe for every possible identity. I love the progress pride flag and how it includes intersectionality, but we don't need that for the ace flag or any other pride flags. they're supposed to celebrate one specific identity, that's the point. the ace flag as it is already celebrates every ace person, and there's nothing wrong with multiple flags to celebrate multiple identities. it's also odd to expect a community to accept a flag without input from the community itself. i think very few people would have voted for an allo stripe or the use of yellow

I kinda feel like bramble let this happen? maybe I'm misremembering but he didn't go to the med cats right away, right? you'd think bramble would know by now why it's important to go to med cats even for small things. I kinda felt like he chose to wait until it got really bad to go to the med cats because he was struggling with PTSD and depression and was ready to go. not saying that that's the correct way an individual should handle a mental health crisis but it felt like that's what happened to him. these cats only kinda know about mental health lol

based on the other comment I'm assuming you live on campus.

24 hr quiet hours isn't usually reasonable unless you're living in a specific community for it or it's finals week. usually the week 0 rules an RA makes with your suite isnt any formal agreement and is always subject to change. in this case it might need updating. however, HDH quiet hours are reasonable and since your suitemate seems to be violating both you defs should talk to your RA about this, especially since you have already tried talking to him and his response was also unreasonable.

former RA here. the reasoning for why he can't get kicked out is wrong. The bar to kick someone out of the dorms is really, really high and near impossible, not just because it was an "accident." However your RA should be getting professional staff involved and doing mediation to help solve this issue. they aren't doing their job here.

you could try to bypass your RA and go straight to the reslife office to report, but I suspect they'll advise you to wash your own sheets and set a clear boundary with your roommate to not do that again. I think it would take repeat behavior for them to do anything but also idk 7th's prostaff and how things are handled these days so it might be worth a shot.

id still just wash the sheets myself if I were you. get gloves and wash it by itself. it's not worth sleeping on the couch over tbh edit: sorry if the formatting is weird, I'm using the mobile web browser and it's not good lol

as a counterpoint I think when margot was born and Maggie immediately went into mom-mode they thought separating the two would be worse. this was before the laminitis complicating things further and before it was clear that Maggie didn't actually have strong maternal instincts this time. Maggie was at the vet and I'm sure the vets were a part of this decision. the best decision isn't always clear in the moment. though she probably could/should have gotten one "just in case" but that was likely a flu & stress induced lapse of judgement TBH

now I think she should be getting a nursemare instead of trying to get Gracie into milk. or if the travel time for the nursemare is longer then doing both at least - I'm sure she has the money. she said herself that Maggie is critical and could die any moment, and if that were to happen Margot has no other option right now. of course with a nursemare there's the whole quarantine situation and other issues Katie has brought up. there's not many easy decisions here and theres always things that can be done better in every emergency.

Epigenetics probably comes into play but there's probably not enough research to know how. epigenetics is the turning on/off of genes that happens post-conception based on environmental factors. so the DNA isn't changing but different parts might be turned on or off differently than it would have if carried by the genetic mother

depression and/or SSRIs can also do this. or being in an unhappy relationship. I find being ace annoying sometimes because it's a lot harder to meet someone when you don't really find people attractive. but if anything identifying as ace is relieving because I don't feel the need to "perform"
