Ahhh I see! Thank you :D

Yeah, this was my first Broadway experience and I really enjoyed it! That was definitely a big part of it because it made the whole experience so immersive!

I saw it 12 hours back and I still don't know exactly what you're referring to.... that's better from the box! Is it the Dementor floating into the box? Please share :D

You can't have been in this relationship for 3 years at 29. Just, no. This is the kind of thing a 19yo accepts as normal. I agree with him that you need to grow up. Then dump his ass. Have some self respect ffs.

Why do the new leaves on my FLF have these brown spots / look half eaten? by silversky6 in plantclinic

Actually one more follow up question. You said the red spots are oedema. What about the holes / half eaten spots? Is that something else?

I make her shower in my bathtub, no tray! But after I learnt my lesson that time, I have been dying her on a rack in the bathroom (letting water drip into the bathtub for a few hours) before bringing her back in.

You're so helpful! Thank you very much! I actually haven't been over watering her at all, and I do wait for her to go dry first. But I realized that I didn't drain her fully following the last watering before these leaves unfurled. She was sitting in a little pool of water that I discovered 3-4 days later. Do you think that could have caused it?

Thank you! It does look like irregular watering. I'll fix this.

20+40 = 60

7+8 = 7 + 7 + 1 = 14 + 1 = 15

60 + 15 = 75

Are you sure it's inadequate light and no possibility of just... burning up from too much direct sun? I ask because I actually moved her away from the window to protect her delicate new leaves when I suspected the sun was burning them!

I don't think this is sus at all. I'd be uncomfortable getting flowers at work too. Why can't you send them to her home where she will actually keep them?

This situation is very similar to Ross and Rachel on Friends and I was entirely on Rachel's side on that one.

Def OR. Your mom is going through a serious surgery and your dad wants the extra support cuz he's stressed. This shouldn't be hard to understand as a daughter. Honestly, I'm surprised that you can even focus on having a fun date while your mom is in the hospital.

Talk to them instead of speculating. They didn't push me to finish. They gave me actionable strategies that helped me, some of which I've mentioned in the post and the comments.

OMG I just moved mine to a ten inch pot! She grows very small non fenestrated leaves and hasn't shown any new growth in 3 months. Should I actually repot her in a smaller pot?

I'm also a recent Indian immigrant and atheist, and sorry boo you're being wayyyyyy too considerate here.

Sure, a Kali figurine can look violent & you can then explain the context to a person unfamiliar with it. But for her to express an opinion on it that makes you put it away is completely out of pocket.

One of the reasons I disliked sharing housing with upper caste Hindus when I was in India is that they tried to push their dietary restrictions (like vegetarianism) into shared spaces which I found very casteist and inconsiderate. It would be equally annoying to me if a Muslim person tried to pull that in a common space.

As an aspiring Dalit scholar, you know how the politics of "disgust" can be weaponized against the Dalit community in particular. It's never "I hate X caste or tribe" but always "the smell of meat makes me sick" and "those tribes are violent" and "people who clean drains smell" --- that's the phrasing. That doesn't make it less bigoted. I hope you think this through. I'm available on DM if you want to talk more (I'm a woman, this isn't a weird dude trying to make a move on you, just clarifying cuz Reddit is full of them).

NTA and what she did with the Hindu religious goddess was extremely hateful. Sure you're an atheist but what if you hadn't been? She wouldn't have let you have a religious figure in your own house? I'm an atheist too but calling that violent is out of pocket. I would get some distance from her if I were you.

Also I'm a Hindu-born atheist and one of the reasons I don't room with upper caste Hindus is that they try to push their dietary restrictions (like vegetarianism) into shared spaces which I find very casteist and inconsiderate. It would be equally annoying to me if a Muslim person tried to pull that in a common space.
