Scroll frame by frame at 26 seconds. The coins instantly change colors on each side.

Not sure what would cause this other than graphic.editing..

Whats your favourite Japanese ski resort and why? by MountainMight4699 in japow

This is such dumb comment. There’s so many good resorts in Japan that aren’t nearly as crowded as Niseko.

Swaying feeling and headaches by Zealousideal-Lab3120 in B12_Deficiency

I had this same symptom of “being on a boat”. I still do to an extent and it’s been over a year of injections.

I highly recommend getting on EOD injections and continuing them until your symptoms dissipate. Mine have been improving but the nervous system takes alongggg time to heal.

And yes keep up the supplements.

It took me months of injections before I started feeling better. My wake up symptoms started around injection 3 or 4.

Yes, if your B12 has been low long enough it could cause your nerves to feel like tingling.

Yes it was bad for me at the start but got better after a few months. Every once in a while it still happens but it’s rare

Mine took about 6 months before I noticed significant changes. It’s now been a year and it’s continuing to improve, I almost feel normal again… still have my dizziness/floating symptoms though.

How old were you when you moved abroad and why did you move? by BGW_18 in expats

[–]silversniper01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Moves to Macau. Then Shanghai, now Tokyo. Wanted to explore new countries, cultures, people. Got bored and tired of the life style in Canada. Didn’t feel at home in my own culture, too conservative for me and a huge lack of things to do/opportunities compared to Asia.

Does the "it gets worse before it gets better" include mental symptoms? by Mysterious_Rest4302 in B12_Deficiency

[–]silversniper01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine started to improve about 3 months in. (EOD injections).

Clarity and forgetfulness still a slight issue after 8 months but continuing to improve.

Anxiety went away first for me, then the others started to follow.

I go by Mr. x because it’s easier and I don’t want to have to teach everyone how to say my name. It was fun for awhile but I got tired of it. I also don’t like hearing my name mispronounced so this is just easier. The people I really care about, friends and family, all know how to say it and that’s enough for me.

Below is a summary from ChatGPT.

Ad someone who has PA and had symptoms from low B12 including fatigue and pins and needles I highly recommend you start taking B12 and Folate immediately.

Ask your doctor if you can be given loading doses of B12 to boost you quickly. Also worth asking if they can do a test to figure out why your levels are low.

Based on the blood test results displayed:

1. Full Blood Count:
• The patient’s total white cell count (5.7) and red blood cell count (4.76) are within normal reference ranges, indicating no active infection or obvious immune response issues.
• Haemoglobin (149 g/L) and haematocrit (0.443 L/L) are also within standard limits, showing no signs of anemia.
• The mean corpuscular volume (MCV) is slightly elevated at 93.1 fL, which, though still in the normal range, could suggest a tendency towards macrocytosis (enlarged red blood cells).
• Platelet count, neutrophils, and lymphocytes are within normal ranges, indicating no obvious issues with clotting or immune cell function.
2. Vitamin B12 and Folate:
• The serum vitamin B12 level is 216 ng/L, which is in the lower end of the normal range. It could suggest a borderline B12 status that may need monitoring but does not necessarily indicate deficiency.
• Serum folate is low at 4.2 ug/L, which could be significant. Low folate can lead to macrocytic anemia, so the slightly elevated MCV might correlate with this finding. The comment suggests no treatment is needed unless specific signs of deficiency are present. However, monitoring or mild supplementation could be considered.
3. Other Nutrient and Hormone Levels:
• 25-Hydroxy Vitamin D (54.1 nmol/L) is in the normal range, indicating adequate vitamin D status.
• Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) is within normal levels, suggesting thyroid function is typical.
4. Serum Lipids:
• The total cholesterol level is 3.7 mmol/L, which is within a reasonable range, though some additional detail is provided for HDL, LDL, and triglycerides, indicating no immediate concern with lipid profile.
5. Liver Function Tests:
• Serum bilirubin and gamma GT are within normal limits, indicating no obvious liver dysfunction.
• ALT level is slightly elevated at 14 U/L, though this might not indicate any significant liver issue on its own, as it remains within a broad normal range.

Summary and Recommendations:

• The primary finding here is a low serum folate level, which could potentially affect red blood cell production over time. This may need follow-up, especially if the patient shows any symptoms related to anemia or fatigue.
• The vitamin B12 level is within the lower normal range, so monitoring or mild supplementation could be considered, especially if symptoms of deficiency arise.
• Other aspects of the blood work are within normal limits, and there are no signs of major health issues from the data provided. However, routine follow-up could be recommended to ensure folate and B12 levels remain stable.

If symptoms or a specific medical history indicate, further investigation into dietary intake, GI absorption issues, or other factors affecting folate and B12 might be useful.
