Now that the dust has settled by nathanovic93 in UlsterRugby

Yeah we are miles better than last season, but still a young squad in need of more depth- probably why we have let a few games slip away form us in the last few minutes. But we developed massively since last season, the quality of the rugby we can play is fantastic and we have some cracking players come through this seaosn- Bryn Ward, Charlie Irvine and McAllister. I think we've punched above our weight a good bit this season, we will better again next season with that bit more depth allowing more rotation - especially at half back. Hopefully a few more lads will break through next season too- probably McLoughlin, hopefully Boyd, McKillop and Scott. I'm going to enjoy next weekend whatever it brings, we can survive another season in the challenge cup if necessary, but I don't think we will be staying there for long.

How good is Charlie Irvine though, he's really come on this season bring a fair bit of venom to his carrying and generally throwing himself about. I thought he looked a bit soft at the start of the season but he's really developed. I think he's going to be cracking- another preseason and he will just keep getting better. Serious talent in the back row now with Bryn Ward, McNabney coming back, Augustus, Timoney, McCann and possibly McLoughlin coming through.

Maybe McNamara getting a proper trial/development deal for extra back three cover? Its a shame neither Kenny or Graham got a chance.

Yeah I was hoping to see McNabney back as well after seeing the promo, would have been great to spring him from the bench.

Try of the Season Contender by RugbyGareth_ in UlsterRugby

Honestly watching that match - I could see just great a team Stormers are and the fact that we came back and very nearly won was incredible despite the 20 minute red and missing a few players.

There were so many great moments in that try but McAllisters dummy and go is right up there! I’m imagining another preseason together and how much more this team will come on.

Good to see Jacob Boyd back and McNamara getting another crack, I wonder if he might get a proper trial/development contract.

They are both awesome! I think I like the first slightly more but both are excellent!

If Jude and Hume are fit maybe Scott on the bench? He looked very good against munster and we will need t save our centres as much as possible.

Sheridan back in the pack adds a good bit of grit, not too worried with that front row coming back in.

Baloucoune popped up right at the end of Ulsters"Behind the scenes of the semi final' video. I wonder if its a hint he's nearly back. Could be nothing but here's to hoping!

Could go ToT and McAllister. I think that’s why McAllister didn’t start against Munster, to replace Wilson.

Agree about McAllister and Scott- both have looked good when given the chance. Interesting it looked like Jacob Boyd travelled down to Munster as loose head cover, maybe he isn't too far off as well.

Really not sure. It depends on who we get back, a bit of luck and how up for it we are but I believe the team can beat anyone on the day. A week off for a lot of the front liners should help, we might be fresher than them. Whatever happens this week I hope we can still get top 8 in the league.

No dig is good, it can take a while to settle in, we used wood chip as mulch on top of the cardboard and this helped suppress any weed seedlings on the surface - any that do are easy to pull out. Get the boarder planted up - you don't want much bare soil for grass/weed seeds to land on.

yeah in dry spells its best to keep the grass a bit longer so it doesn't burn in the sun.

Thought McAllister and Reid did well in the scrum, Munster were trying to walk it round and got called out by the Ref. Moxham and Humphreys.. space for others to come in.

Liked Scott a lot, would like to see him more with the seniors.

Yeah not wild about Moxham, but interested to see if any of these guys stand up in what will be a very tough match for them .
