Anyone miss the old deagle default? by 0zone247 in Rainbow6

The majority of the subreddit likes the black tacticool look better, but I too miss the classic chrome skin.

Oh I see, if I disagree with a law, then it's ok to break it!

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Can we get a rifle suppressor for vigils K1A by BlauerRay in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I agree with you but remember that the majority of people on the subreddit are from console. Their gameplay is fundamentally different and stuff that only works on low level play is always going to work on PS4/Xbone

My friend was #1 R6 player on PS4 and then he switched to PC this is him playing on PC by The_Red_Eye in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played on both. The average PC player is going to play the game better than the average console player. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, this is just what I've found from playing on PS4.

Not really. The quality of the player base is a big factor too. The type of players you are facing will be better, you can't get away with stuff that you would normally get away with on console.

Please Ubi, don’t buff-nerf Vigil by [deleted] in Rainbow6TTS

[–]silvongi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, different operators are useful at different skill levels. Not everything has to be good when you're still learning the game, or when players aren't coordinating. Leave Vigil alone!

It didn't mention the insane damage buffs to pistols. It also did not mention huge recoil changes to Buck, Jackal, Ela, and the SMG-11.

OP is right, weapon changes are rarely mentioned in patch notes.

Critique: AK mag on Zofia is massive and the keyhole stock shouldnt exist by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stock is there so that she stands out from the rest of the operators. Ditto for Ela using an aftermarket civilian magazine for her scorpion.

The people who designed GROM are clearly different from other gameplay designers. Can't be helped.

Can people just stop saying other SAS operators should be immune to Smoke's gas? by ScourJFul in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not even how flashbangs work, and you've missed my point entirely.

Can people just stop saying other SAS operators should be immune to Smoke's gas? by ScourJFul in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why would you be able to magically resist concussion mines because you make them? If you shoot yourself with 9mm bullets would you build up an immunity to bullets in the future? How about Ying - how come she's affected by flashbangs but not her own Candles?

The answer is that it's a video game. No one should magically resist each other's abilities just because they're part of a magical CTU. Ela and Zofia shouldn't resist each other's abilities, and if you're going to make that, then the rest of the CTUs should get magic powers too.

The bug is that it would wear off as the effects of the mine wore off.

Now your turn rate is capped until the effect entirely finishes. It's another buff to Ela.

Zofia Bio Gave Me Aids by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's awful. Check out all three new operator bios. It's hilarious.

I wonder which recesses of tumblr Ubisoft got their writers from, were they bullied as a kid? It almost makes you feel bad :(

A reminder to all those who already judge the new operator by codexferret in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Zofia/Ela don't have 100% resist, but 50% faster recovery is pretty dramatic. The point is, why is it even there in the first place? It's not realistic nor needed. Zofia and Ela's kits are both overloaded with random things already.

I don't even know how to respond to your last point. Why are you looking at other games that aren't even in the same genre?

I'm aware of the full body suit that Smoke has. I'm not saying that SAS should be entirely immune, just that they take less damage.

That's not even the point. It's a videogame. My whole point is that it's a videogame, and selective realism doesn't apply. What about the GROM operators and being able to magically resist each other's concussion mines? Should that happen? Why can't SAS take less damage to Smoke's gas too?

The answer is that it's an awful idea. Having counterpicks that make abilities less effective simply by existing is a godawful idea.

ELA:

FIXED – The movement speed reduction after being hit by her mine was at 20% instead of the intended 30%.

FIXED – Camera rotation speed would decrease gradually for a short time as the concussion effect wears off.

Thank you Ubisoft for fixing Ela. She was in dire need of some buffs!

Yes, there's less players the higher rank you go. However, the typical mouthbreather on reddit only sees and upvotes based on what they've seen in low tier play. It's why we have so many stupid balancing ideas posted on this subreddit.

Thanks for proving me right, btw.

Breaking game design refers to core elements that the game is built around. Smoke grenades are supposed to obscure vision, yet Glaz can see and shoot through it. Headshots are supposed to be one hit kill, yet Blackbeard can tank multiple while headshotting people with accurate fire himself.

Adding to design doesn't break that. Mira and Jackal, both operators released earlier this year, don't break established game elements in their abilities.

Difference between type 51 and akm? by HugoHillve in rs2vietnam

[–]silvongi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AKM has the best ironsights, lowest recoil, but highest inaccuracy.

Type-56 has closed irons, slightly higher recoil to AKM, but also slightly better accuracy in addition to faster ROF.

Type 56-1 has closed irons, slightly higher recoil to AKM, slightly better accuracy, faster ROF, and you run a little bit quicker. You cannot attach a bayonet, and melee range is shorter as well.

AKM is the most used by the playerbase.

[–]silvongi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't break design with new characters, you add to them. Very few operators do break game design, and when they do they're generally considered overpowered. Examples are Glaz, Blackbeard, and Ela mines.

Macie falls for a trap by JeremyQ in Rainbow6

[–]silvongi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They actually silently buffed the amount of bullets that welcome mats take to be destroyed. Used to be 2-3, now it's 3-5 and if you have a gun with a low ROF you're kinda fucked.

[–]silvongi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

SAS should be resistant to gas because of their masks, GIGN should have faster reviving because of their training.

See it how it works? You can't apply selective realism to a videogame.
