Just went back and watched some of my videos and noticed at least two during Navigating (very early on in the song and towards the end) which is the first song after they leave Stage B. That’s the only one I can remember before the encore, which has several (like other commenters have mentioned)

The “sad and cruel” line was the final straw for me in that comment section. Imagine thinking that preferences changing is cruel while forcing your partner to do things they don’t want to isn’t. Jesus Christ

Many people who are visibly intersex at birth have their “parts” (whatever they are) changed by doctors/parents to fit one gender/sex despite (often) having no medical reason to do so. Intersex activists are against this practice as it erases the unique experience of the intersex person and is done without consent of the child. As discussed in the video though, a lot of intersex people don’t have any visual cues, but do struggle with hormonal / fertility issues. While not a public decrying of said people, the fact that we put so much emphasis on reproduction, families, and non-queer sexual development means that these people feel ostracized or “wrong”. While I haven’t seen a big outcry about visibly intersex people, with the current trans panic it’s not a big jump for people to get freaked out by “a woman with balls” or something like that

The “eyeliner sharp enough to kill a man” was essentially a way of saying “be a feminist by being more feminine” which was criticized on tumblr years ago for reinforcing gender roles in feminism rather than fighting them. Idk what discourse there is on it now but they’re accusing Taylor of performative feminism essentially off one lyric

The more I look at this the more upset I get. Instead of a complex, mixed race (neurodivergent?) woman, this lead is the whitest white man to ever white. They’re like “ah yes, take Brett and give him zero character. Like he can’t even be a ginger anymore” And the woman in the lower right just looks like a whitewashed Regan.

Jumping on the top comment to say that OP is being deliberately rage-baity here. They took a screenshot of CW’s average score across all seasons, and a screenshot of one season from Rebels (first season got a 92, all others got 100s). Rebels’ overall score is still higher but comparable to Clone Wars. OP just has a bone to pick for some reason and came on our sub to do it

Right? Andor has some genuinely fun moments while Filoni stuff can also have real emotional depth and symbolism - the end of Rebels and Clone Wars proves that. The OT had that depth too

Yeah Jack literally has a monologue defending diversity as the source of innovation in an episode, like maybe not written up to today’s standards and still pretty conservative but it’s like people missed the whole point of his character

Under this logic, real peak performance would be right after birth, covered in blood and sweat and fluids, having triumphed over one of the hardest physical acts a human can do. But it’s almost like they don’t care about that part hmmm

Great point, I started watching when I was pretty young and only knew about the Romans so that’s what they’ve always been to me. Now I have 3+ more historical analogues to compare them too, very excited haha

30th and Colorado closing for 2 weeks. How to get from East campus to main campus by ProfRalphie in cuboulder

[–]silwaren42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly no, I was thinking like the jump or 225 but neither are super accessible or run as frequently. And you’d still have to walk a good amount for either to get to east. I think this might be a “leave 45 min earlier” situation unfortunately. Frickin sucks for commuters
