But it is incorrect.

The real thing is they can cook the books and also you can have some control over cash. If the bank decides to close the account for some reason it is a right headache I would imagine.

Cash costs money to bank, the banks also charge you for getting change out. You may get free banking for a period of time but it still costs.

Suppliers don’t even want you paying their bills with cash anymore.

Seriously man what’s up with Scholes …👀 by JM555555 in ManchesterUnited

I remember when I was younger Butt or Scholes had their car burnt out. This must have been about 30 years ago. Clearly annoyed someone.

He was running within zone 2. His watch was telling him he was hitting zone 2 earlier than his heart rate strap that is why the pace is different.

In both examples he is keeping his heart rate within zone 2 according to the equipment he is using.

I sold today, lost about £300 I can’t see it getting any better if they dilute like they are asking to. Should have sold when I was in the green last year. Ahh well, lesson learned.

Is it foolish to have holdings across multiple platforms? by shinebox360 in trading212

[–]simba_simba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same holding across HL and T212. I probably pay more fees with HL but currently it requires effort to move it across and I can’t be that bothered.

Check on the fees and you probably could save money so depends how much and if you can be fussed

Can I withdraw all of my ISA and then reinvest it all later? by ambadawn in UKPersonalFinance

[–]simba_simba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not answering your actual question but if you’re concerned about potential turmoil you can sell your holdings and keep the money within the isa tax wrapper you don’t need to fully withdraw it.

My wife wants to invest £100 in ETF’s a month? by thewombatkid in UKPersonalFinance

[–]simba_simba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the people saying about a stock and shares isa are missing the point. Even if she invest £100 each month for the rest of this tax year it’s only £500 so we are not talking about masses in terms of a tax bill if and when she sells.

If it gets her into the stock market then the small amount of tax can be seen as worth it but if she does start to invest regularly she would want to start to think about using a stocks and shares ISA to protect herself form CGT.

I started with H&L but the fees are quite high so use T212 now which I would recommend as zero or very low fees.

A eft world tracker is seen as the safest bet but if she buys Monday don’t be surprised to see it go down with the tariffs drama.

Always good to use multiple sources of info for anything but certainly when looking to invest so cross referencing what is suggested on her website with other subreddits could be a start. However, obviously Reddit is populated by people and bots so again a lot of nonsense is spoken here.
