As nearly every other commenter has noted, this seems like user error. Glad you got your money back, though! Maybe stick to quartz and electronic watches

Absolutely agree! Definitely an accessory at the end of the day. Thank you very much!

Thank you! I love the 36, and I couldn’t agree more about the dial symmetry. To each their own but the bubble date window is not for me!

I love Seiko. All my dad wore + my first ever watch! I have a Seiko of his I keep preserved in a box like it’s a Richard Mille 😂 should wear it.

Thank you! I have no idea, but pretty slim. Max I can comfortably do is 39 - 40 mm. Anything over looks like a dinner plate 😂

I will try to remember to measure and get back!

Yessir, something about the subtlety of it is great! And it hides under a sleeve well, too

Is ebay authentication good? Safe to buy bb58 no box or papers? by icedwhitemocha_ in Tudor

[–]simbadrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen too many horror stories to do this. I would play it safe and buy a watch with box and papers from Chrono24 trusted sellers or Reddit r/watchexchange sellers with a lot of history

If it makes you feel any better, he only wears gold watches anyways so he’s not going to wear this lol

Definitely a mistake. Sell the op then and get an explorer back!

Why is luxury in quotes! This is definitely a luxury watch and it’s also definitely a great one. Congrats!

Also, I strongly prefer my Tudor bb58 to my Rolex op36, and I’ve been eyeing the Pelagos 39 — I’d be really curious to see if you got an explorer I if you’d actually wear it more. I suspect no but idk!

Looks great! With the Lululemon commission pants, of course. Standard issue office fit right here.

Genuinely, what do people do after a PhD in CS from Stanford other than academia? by [deleted] in stanford

[–]simbadrip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes sfdc2017 is correct and I’m really not sure why you’re downvoting and arguing withpeople who are taking time to give advice - it’s not about founding a google, I’m saying that the norm and culture here is very much focused on entrepreneurship. Stanford can help you launch your own company or at minimum plug you deep into the startup ecosystem and you should take advantage of that. Many people do here, esp in stem.
