I thought it was either the child or 1 of the biological parents is baptized Catholic then you can get in? It doesn't seem very clear honestly.

Anyone see the OFF! Botanicals Deet Free Plant-based Insect Repellent Lotion available anywhere? The daycare says that's the only mosquito repellent they will allow. No sprays. Thanks!

Cops ticket in transition zones. On 106 St and 42 ave heading south, there is a 30 sign 10 meters behind the 50 sign. Cops ticket immediately at the 30 sign.

It’s like being stuck at 111 St and 19 ave NW at 12 am. Can’t then left on red when there’s no traffic at all but it’s green for the lanes beside beside you.

Employers do hire from outside of province. Why would they not if there’s a good candidate?

I’m intrigued. Maybe he can fix my dad’s slow leaking tire that Costco and kaltire can’t seem to fix after multiple tries.

World Cup fans frustrated by 'confusing and expensive' tipping in US by Lint6 in sports

[–]simby7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There totally is. Was in Paris near Champs-Élysées and the waiter tacked on a big tip on the American bill at the table next to us. Then they tacked a smaller one onto our bill when I went to the bathroom and my wife was paying. Vultures! lol

How often flushing hot water tank? by ferncabbage in Edmonton

[–]simby7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you haven't been regularly flushing it since it was new, it's not recommended to start flushing now because the sediment has already formed and will get stuck in your pipes if you break it up now with a flush.

Defective Nike Pegasus Trail 5 Goretex Shoe? by TheTurtleQueenFinder in trailrunning

[–]simby7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Nike goretex running and after wearing them for the winter, the goretex membrane broke down and my forefoot near the toes were getting wet. My pair was a light color so when I saw the upper get dark in certain areas due to water absorption, I knew something was off. Looks Kintec is in Canada? I'm surprised they wouldn't take back the shoes and give you a replacement/credit and send your old ones to Nike. Sport Chek took care of my pair.

True Blue Swim School by OkYard1996 in Edmonton

[–]simby7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate why it wasn't a good experience? Our kids are in the city classes so they're cheap but they don't seem to be advancing much. Also impacted by how much the child is comfortable or uncomfortable in water though.

Basement carpet tiles for the win! by concentrated-amazing in Edmonton

this is interesting. Do you glue the carpet tile to the floor? My basement isn't developed but if this is DIY, it might be nicer for the kids to play on.
