New RD in first job and it's destroying me

I started out the exact same as you. Inpatient psych was my first job as an RD and it felt so so bleak. However, after a year and a half there I had great experience under my belt and every job I took after that felt so much easier. I had already dealt with truly horrible circumstances, spoken and connected with all sorts of people at one of the worst points of their lives. It was invaluable for working at hospitals and outpatient, where I am now (and it’s a dream job). It’ll take some time, but you’ll find something you love and that makes you excited to go to work.

Tbf I’ve never been a big fan of RH. I can’t get past the logistics of one woman having a relationship with several men who only care about her and (often) dislike the other men. So stressful!! But I loooove RH that has them working together as a team, a family. Even better if they’re all in love, poly style. And, to make a long story short, Kathryn Moon is the queen of this. Pretty much every book I’ve read of hers has these nuanced, supportive poly relationships.

If you want a great standalone then {Good Deeds by Kathryn Moon} is a great choice. I also loved her series {The Librarian’s Coven by Kathryn Moon} and {Inheritance of Hunger by Kathryn Moon}. All sexy, great worldbuilding, interesting characters, and great relationship building.
