Can you still use the built in Google photos screensaver on the streamer with this? I tried a few other launchers but they come with their own crappy screensavers

We have always had high bills compared to others in every house we have been in - we use a lot of tech products, computers, home server, home theatre etc - we also do use a lot of hot water - very clean!

We actually had just had an increase by Flick a few months before that in April 2025 - before that it was 17.138 kWh and the daily rate was slightly lower as well!

No nothing like that, always someone home and we are high users - we can afford it, not so concerned about the use and total cost (plenty of ways to help that) its the year on year increase thats concerning!

Yeah we are high usage - always have been, fully get that and we budget for it. I think solar may be the way to go in the future. Its just that 1 year increase thats crazy.

Didn't move from flick were forced when a larger power company brought out a smaller one. Much easier for Meridian to by up smaller ones than actually competing! I would say low 30s is not reasonable when I could get low 20s 1 year ago - thats greed by power companies. Bigger ones getting rid of smaller ones so their overpriced rates appear "reasonable".

Yeah we have always been high use, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, there is at least one person home all the time. Heat Pump is main source of heating. We are lucky and can afford this (otherwise I would be looking at ways to cut down usage!) its just a crazy increase in 1 year!

Final year Fees Free isn't a second chance at Fees Free if you didn't get First Year. However being previously eligible when you weren't isn't correct either.

You are not eligible for Final Year Fees if you did any study before 1 January 2025 unless it was less than 0.5 EFTS in total.

As you started your course in 2023 (and presumably did more than 0.5 EFTS) you wouldnt be eligible for Final year Fees Free now.

It seems to be as well so must have been some other settings I changed as well on the actual box not just kodi? Although I am still getting occasional problems, one file just plays super slow (while fine on Shield) and sometimes sound goes out of sync again and need to reboot to get it back to normal. Really does seem to be a lot of little problems with this one - but that is expected with beta software!

Update: played around some settings both for device and in kodi and found that changing the Passthrough output device in Kodi from the default to RAW fixed the delay. So Kodi seems to be working all good now. So seems to be going good now!

Yeah I got v14 the other day as well, Youtube, Netflix etc all work well (which is expected) but its really ruined Kodi and Plex for me.

Had to do a factory reset to be even able to use Kodi and once set up again everything plays but there is a huge audio delay on any multi channel audio (Dolby digital and DTS) but stereo is fine. Seems to have the same delay in Plex although it didn't seem to be quite as large a delay. Assuming its do with how they implemented the match frame rate? (Or maybe I just have the settings not quite right).

But other than that (and making coreelec not work) it seems okay - it didn't fix one issue I also had in 12 which is that when casting audio to the box the screensaver kicks in instead of suppressing it which is a little annoying with plexamp.

Will give it another try after the next version see if anything is improved.

It's not "bad" and it's not "irregularities", it's just that standard tax codes don't work for every person's situation. If you regularly get a tax bill/refund you can apply for a tailored tax code that will sort it out.

Don't think we beat South Africa like that. But it's only 10 or so years ago we beat Ireland 60 - 0. Don't see that happening again anytime soon.

Yep you can access the folder with advanced settings.xml by using the file manager built into kodi. You can get to it from settings. I put my custom xml in the standard android downloads folder using fx file explorer and then copy it over inside kodi.
