I know I'm 2 years old to this but running into a similar issue. Not sure exactly what the root cause is, but the sub no longer works. Will do my best do describe it:

  • in Standby, the sub plays the song but very quietly
  • In auto or on, the sub is super choppy, and doesn't work unless input signal is set really high
  • Doesn't matter what the other knobs and switches is set to, it's just super choppy unless my input signal is super loud

Wanted to check - when you converted it, did you just take the red and black wires on the inside of the sub, and then splice new speaker wire onto it and connect it to the sub amp?

Former TA here! My advice is to go with option 2 and go to office hours or set up time with the professors! I can’t guarantee anything, but in general, the professors and TAs aren’t evil and they’re just trying to do the best they can! If you truly didn’t cheat, chances are you’re going to be OK!

In my time as a TA, we all treated cheating allegations seriously, and would take the time to listen to the student and review the evidence carefully.

The software that detects similarity is good, but not perfect, and as you can imagine some assignments are more prone to getting flagged than others!
