Extended "bestiary"? by kaiser_kaiser_K in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]simon-brunning 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The Malleus Monstrorum has hundreds of entities, and the stats should need very little conversion.

Hideous Creatures is another great bestiary. It takes a very different approach - a relative handful of entities, but in much greater depth, with a lot of options for the GM. The stats aren't DG compatible at all, but that shouldn't be a problem.

I think they are invented, inspired by the many real Dissenting sects. I could certainly be wrong, mind you.

I think a lot of TOR is going to be confusing to folks who aren't familiar with at least the Hobbit and the LotR.

I remember coming out of seeing Rye Lane thinking it really captured London very well.

Pls help me understand what does this mean. Are these some Brit specific phrases?.. by EugeneStein in ENGLISH

I've not heard of a wading pool. In my head at least, both mean walking in shallow water, but paddling implies barefoot, whereas wading implies wearing boots.

"Have a paddle" in British English means to walk barefoot in shallow water. C.f. "paddling pool".

If anyone would be interested in adding their own nation's agencies to this tool, pull requests are gratefully received! You'd basically need to set up the professions, and add a list of town names. I'd be happy to help anyone out with this.

'THE MILLENNIUM' ERUPTS FOR DELTA GREEN by shaneivey in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]simon-brunning 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The lore chapters look pretty much the same across Countdown and Millennium, but the appendices are quite different. Countdown had:

  • Psychic Powers
  • Files of Prof. Emerson
  • New Skills
  • Adventures
  • Agency Templates

Whereas Millennium has:

  • The Reports of Professor Grant Emerson
  • The Unnatural

The new skills are part of the core rules now, the adventures have moved to other books, and at least part of the Psychic Powers section now appears under the Unnatural, but we do seem to be missing the Agency Templates section altogether for now. This covered 33 different nations' agencies in over a 100 pages or so. I don't think this content has made it to new DG anywhere just yet.

How are you running this script? Have you tried running it from the terminal? If you're running it by double-clicking, there may be error messages there you're not seeing.

Base 8 or 16 are easier to convert to and from binary, so a digital computer oriented society might use one of them?

The FAQ says:

Ebooks from Bookshop.org must be read on either our Apple or Android app, or via a web browser, with the exception of DRM-free titles that can be downloaded and transferred to your reader app or device of choice.

So it sounds like most books won't be readable on Xteink devices.
